I have had two webcams for about a year now. I only had one up for about 2 months and then stopped. I now am more interested in getting these webcams to work online.

I have used Camerades before but I have a thick firewall that my father loves to death. My father and I share internet through a D-Link and he is always bitching about how I need to keep my firewall up and antivirus up to date because we are very prone to hackers. I've had about 15 attemps in the past week, and its usually like that. My dad has access codes or something on his pc for work but the "hackers" always seem to crash mine.

Basicly I am asking for any websites that stream webcams for free and information on keeping a web cam running through a firewall with maximum protection. I would also like some info on setting up some code to run a cam off of my webspace, if it all possible.

Thanks a ton.

To send video you're going to need to find out what ports are open through your firewall and use those, or find out which one you need and open it. I don't know much about it, but I use Yahoo and MSN to camchat with ZoneAlarm.. no problems.

For your website though? Evil.. are you gonna be a cam whore?
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Femme Stab Mode >:D

Haha, I bet evil would be an awesome cam whore  ;D

Hahaha, you wish. :P My house has an old nursery and I use it as my computer/art room. Many of my friends 'enjoyed' watching me paint and such, so I thought why not start it up again. But I dont really want to use a cam website, I would rather use my own personal webspace. I just dont know how to go about doing so.

Hola! Sorry about the doubble post, but after about 2 hours of searching I finally did it. Its working but not very well. I have it set slow due to the problems I have been having. I would be happy to explain how I did it if anybody wants to know.

Its a computer. The grain is just the qualitity. I have it low now for speed. I keep having to reset the camera because it stops refreshing the images. I'll try working on getting a better picture qualitity now.
