Cheerio to you too man....

Thats whats wrong with america, we don't say cheerio over here. Am I the only one who thinks america would be a better place if we just all said "cheerio" once and a while? eh?

Evil

Good point Squinky! I will start a trend and become popular :P... I'll miss ya buddy, ol' pal, ol' flippy.

veryweirdguy

Hey Flippy, see if you can get over to Glasgow to see me, I know you'd love that  :P

Seriously though, have a good time. You're probably gone already so I'm speaking to no-one but still...

Barcik

I left something for you when I was there a month and a half ago, let's see if you can find it.  ;)

Hi all, just thought I'd update you on my progress. I'm speaking to you via some unsuspecting free internet access provided by intel inside. There's some Frank Sinatra playing outside. Oh wait, some chaps called the 'Gad flies' have just come on stage. They're playing some nice guitar riffs.
The Fringe festival is bloody fantastic! there's posters absolutely PLASTERED all over the place, there's free comedy, concerts and theatre everywhere you turn. I'm going to pick up a free SIM card after this internet session, being the cheapskate I am :). Missing you all, I'm sure. Or, at least, missing you all in the spaces in between seeing shows. I've been to see Men in Coats, I've gone to a recording of Just a Minute, and seen the Royal Militery Tattoo (including the Top Secret Drum Corps from Swizterland, who were excellent). The division from Bermuda came on playing Jammin by Bob Marley, in a militerized style. It was great. Men in Coats is always good of course.
We're going to see some more street theatre today in the form of a murder mystery. Don't ask me how they intend to do it. A man playing bagpipes just walked past.
There's a general atmosphere of goodwill and high prices, and this shan't be a holiday I'll forget any time soon. Hope you all have fun in my continuing absence. Keep bugging Annie for me.

And for Squinky, Cheerio again.

Wow, i LIVE in Edinburgh.

What with you and me in Edinburgh, and VWG in Glasgow, plus Flippy visiting, maybe we should start a SAGSUG?

I'll be honest, I don't actually live in Glasgow, I live in Greenock, a town about 30 miles west of Glasgow, but I thought not many people would have heard of it...

Hello once more. I'm now reporting from my Scottish cousin's house, where I shall be spending my last two days. Sorry I could't make it back faster, but all my attempts (read: one) were foiled.
So, what's been happening? Well, soon after I typed the last report, we went to see Jimmy Carr. I'm sure you've heard of him. He was good, his material was great, but he relied somewhat too heavily on one liners. We saw some flamenco guitar, so totalling the guitar recitals we saw to two. We saw one the day after we arrived, but myself knowing nothing of the guitar I wasn't overly moved. Anyhoo. Men in Coats was awesome, in case I didn't tell you. No wonder they are so well loved. I also saw a musical version of Cluedo with a very pretty little thing playing the lead (Female Ameirican Detective)*. I better keep this brief because my cousin is getting impatient (he's 7, I can only recall too well my own annoyance at having to wait at the computer) and it's dinner. Suffice to say I'm in one piece and shall be back with you shortly.
