Title: What does a "locked post" do?
Post by: milkanannan on Sun 03/04/2005 04:05:55
Hey -I just posted asking where everyone was from - now's the forum is locked.  What happened?

did you read the thread?

Peter Thomas and I pointed you to the old thread where this has been asked before.

Yes, I did read the thread.  The link you redirected me to was from 10 months ago.  What's the harm in asking that question again and getting people talking a bit?  And why would you lock the thread?

You asked if there was a thread already about your topic. Indeed there was. It's no personal attack - it's just a bit silly having two identical threads running, when it would be so much easier just to copy and paste your answer into the existing thread.

EDIT: a mod beats Peter

Now Peter beats a mod!

*locks thread*

....

*tries again*

damn.

If you'd bothered to read the whole thread you'd see it's still quite active and has fairly recent posts.

Haha. That's funny. His finger must've slipped and accidentally typed 'Mr Colossal' instead of 'Peter Thomas'. Haha. What a freaky coincidence!

Yeah, anyway. Welcome to the boards. Enjoy your stay :)
