What game are you playing?

Yeah, most of my love for Final Fantasy Tactics stems from an early experience with it. It just never went away, and it probably never will. I can see its shortcomings, yeah, but for some reason they don't bother me. All of the other tactical not-really-an-RPG-whatever-you-want-to-call-it games never really wowed me at all. Of course, to be fair, I only watched someone play Front Mission-- No wait, that was Front Mission 3...on Playstation? ...I think... I guess I never experienced the SNES one after all. Maybe I'll give it a shot one of these days.

While we're talking about older console games that we enjoyed a lot, did anyone else here enjoy Super Metroid?

Still playing Oblivion, and I've got Thief: Deadly Shadows on deck.

And um... Chessmaster 10th Edition.

Company of Heroes.

I finished campaign few months ago and forgot about it.

Now I rediscovered the game and suddenly realized that it's absolutely most wonderful game released in last 5 years or so. So I skirmish 3-4 times a day.

Fallout 2. Hands down most favourite game of mine EVAR.

I love you, voh.

(yes, I'm playing Fallout 2 now as well, have to complete this game at least once a year!)

Hmm... It seems Halo is proving semi-entertaining...

I second that!
Fallout 2 is one of the best games ever!

Methinks this thread should go into Popular Threads.
Reach for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

Civilization II on pc (keep going back to it every few years)
and Lord of the rings on Xbox360, which isn't that good, but I want the gamerpoints.

I love you too, Petteri, let's make out while He-Man watches and a Fallout 2 Speed Run is playing in the background.

No? Awww ;)

But you know what annoys me about F2? Right now I'm in the Den, and I need to talk to Mom, but that bastard Fred is in the doorway, and as he's a dialogue-scripted NPC I can't push him out of the way.

ARGH!  >:(
Still here.

Flashback is well-worth it, people. And not so hard once you get the hang of it.

Oblivion is a shit game. It's a beautiful tourist simulator, but it's no game.

Fallout 2 is all sorts of great, of course.

I've dug out Desperados recently and still love it. Flashback is great, true, I play through it once a year
(although I hated the part

in one of the last levels where one has to use those little robotic mice to trigger the switches for the doors.

And I'm currently playing Mega-Man 2 & 3 on the NES (thank god for emulators and save states ;))

Other occasionally played games atm: NfS Carbon, Chrono Cross, WarCraft III & Republic Commando (which has such great voice-acting and music I just play it for the sound.)

RC Tycoon 3! Awesome :D I've been playing the first one the last few months, almost completed it...looks like I might skip number 2 and try 3 right away :D

Buckethead

I personally, as a RCT fan, was very dissapointed in RCT3 although it's rather fun to mess around with the new rides.

Am playing Colonization right now. While Civilisation 1,2, or even the new ones don't bring me back every few years, I really enjoy playing Colonization. I spend 14 hours continuous building everything up, winning, and then forgetting about it for another year or so.

I am also playing Rogue, and am upto the 18th level now.

Aside from that, I was also playing Capricorn, finished that now. Also playing Ace Quest!

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

Yeah! That has happened to me a couple of times too and it's annoying as hell! I can't remember how I've gotten past him though, either I've loaded an earlier save game (and played some parts all over again) or I've just left Den and come back later. But I hate it when that happens!

Excellent games both but... save states?! You don't need to save while playing those two. :P
