What if... Chris Jones dies suddenly?

I was wondering what would happen if Chris Jones would be hit by a car suddenly, or accidently fall from a bridge and get hit by a train, or anything similair.

Is there someone with access to the script to carry on with AGS? Will AGS just stop with upgrades, and remember their dear CJ?

Did anyone ever thought about this? Not that I'm looking forward to seeing CJ die, but it could happen to anyone.

The truth is, you guys would never know if I did die. I'd be absent from the forums for a while, then a while longer, then rumours would start, then people would give up and wander off to AGAST/SLUDGE/whatever. It really wouldn't be the end of the universe.

Someone would probably end up hosting AGS, and the last version CJ made would be the final version. It's already complete enough as it is. And with plug-ins, you can always fix/add more. Frankly, I'm impatient for his death. The arsenic is taking longer than expected.

Now what would really break up the community, would be if I died. Then what would happen to the ever lovable, ever fat, Ace Quest? It would be a scary world without him. That said, I'm impatient for my death as well.

I can't really say too much about it, I've never really had the chance to talk to him.

I guess if he died suddenly, I would definetly be the last to hear about it... I'm always the last to hear everything.  I guess I'd be upset, seeing as he's responsible for creating the coolest adventure making program that I know of, and in my eyes, that's no small feat.

I realize the rest of you are joking around about this, so I'm going to end this here, as I have no sense of humor that I'm aware of.

Well, we'd just get Brain Provinciano to reverse engineer it for us, so then it would be released in 2040, followed by SCIVGA in 2048, and Gilbot would still be working out ways to use DOS, meanwhile CJ will re-emerge from hiding (after acquiring Sierra & LA) and Sue everyone for breach of copyright including Brian, before realising that all the copyrights were expired. Then FOY will be released included with Kinky Island (finally finished by m0ds junior II)

the truth is that I broke in tears when I thought on the possibility of CJ dying, and this Photoshop was enough difficult to do for me in such situation to make it funny...  :'(
