So.. since my compy's not being to happy right now, I borrowed a friends laptop. She wants me to update her msn messenger (so that the webcam will be compatible), but when I try to run the .exe file, it says I need to choose a program to open it with. I am completely unfamiliar with mac, so I have no idea what to do with it.

Anyone have suggestions for me?

Er, use something other than the MSN messaging client?
There's Pidgin, Trillian, Kopete, all three support MSN, Yahoo, AIM, and a ton of other IM services.

it's a thought, but she had msn working for her so far, I guess I'm wondering why it won't work so easily now.

Well, one thing is that MSN is run by Microsoft, which is a competitor against Apple. Apple makes Macs, and last time I checked there's always been some sort of problem with using MSN services on Mac OSX.

I knew about the Microsoft vs Apple thing. Oh well, she'll have to decide what she wants to change it to if she wants an update so badly I guess. Thanks.
