I saw this film one night cople of years ago and I really want to know what it is. The plot: The main guy is a bodyguard of this game designer. And the game cosole is some skin coloured thing that you plugin on your back to play. And theres some gun made out of bones and teeth. And They both end up in a game and having to complete it or they will die or something. It is very muddled but along those lines. I know someone knows wat it is

Well... I must admit it's not my favourite Cronenberg film (Naked Lunch is) but it has it's moments. Always fun to see Willem Dafoe, and the design of the movie is inspirational.
Completely ditto on what YOke said (including Naked Lunch being my favourite), but I think Existenz is a pretty nifty movie. It certainly looks great (remember, I'm a very visual person).

I personally couldn't stand the movie. I watched it all, but it was dull to me.
it sounded interesting but I only rented it because it said "Better than the Matrix" on the video box.
I would agree exactly with YOke and Miez. I saw it a few years ago on tv, and recently downloaded and watched it again... I can see why it wou'd be many people's cup of tea but it I enjoyed it, and looked very nice.
Also agreement on it not being his best movie... and that Naked Lunch is.

yeah thats eXistenZ, i thought it was a bit crappy first time i saw it, but having seen it since it again it was a bit better

I saw existenze, it was really REALLY crummy and a ham-fisted attempt to be clever and cool... But then again I'm a snob. Sorry.

But on a completely irrelavant topic, everyone should see City Hunter and give me their opinions...
I thought City Hunter was great.
Completely different from the Jackie Chan I'm used to, but ridiculous and hilarious for it.
