Title: What's that song?
Post by: Jayel on Wed 09/11/2005 08:52:02
I heard this song on the radio a few months ago and I have no idea what the title is or who the artist is.  It's driving me nuts.

The song has two parts:  the first is a bad 80's kinda song, but then the second part is a soft instrumental ballad that's actually quite passable.  Sort of like Clapton's Layla, but not so great.
I think it had cheesy lyrics (I can't remember), performed by a male singer, and it's probably from the 80's.

If you have any idea, please throw me a title.

Buffff... That's going to be difficult man... Good luck anyway. I remember there was a "which is this song" thread some time ago, it basically worked because people was sending midis based on their reminds of the tune and people replied with the title/artist.

Could you post an audio file with the tune in the way you remember it?

Sounds like "music was my first love, and it will be my last, the music of the future and the music of the past"

hehe, when I first read "The song has two parts:  the first is a bad 80's kinda song, but then the second part is a soft instrumental ballad that's actually quite passable", I was just about to write Layla. Then I read the following passage. Too bad!

aaah well I don't remember any of the lyrics or the tune.
I guess I'll let it torment me for the rest of my life.
Thanks anyway
:)

Can't you hum it, and record it or something?
