Title: When a fan writes fiction...
Post by: on Wed 23/09/2009 18:40:39
When a fan writes fiction, we call it fanfiction, and if I had done so, I would not really have troubled you with this post. Even though chances are good that nobody can out-write My Immortal, there is this... strange smell around fanfic. Even if they do take showers often.

But...

When a man rediscovers a guilty pleasure and writes a small piece of fiction in a language that is not his own, and sees this as: a nice nostalgia trip, a chance to improve his writing, a possible way to polish up his English skills and (most importantly) has a LOT OF FRIKKING FUN doing all this, well, I feel
the thread is justified, and thus I would like to share the result.

Here it is, a little thing called PMORPH Origin, and if anyone downloads this handy PDF file and gets a little fun out of it, I am all the more happy.

Download PMORPH: Origin (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ddnkhnugmn2)

A great deal of thanks go to UltraMagnus, bicilotti and Ben304 for supportive reading and brick throwing!

(Warning: Story has been called worthwhile by five out of five testers. You may find yourself tricked into saying you read and liked a fan work  ;D )

I would also be grateful for any comments, so hey, fire away as if in C+C!

When a fan writes a fiction
Can't keep his mind on nothing else
He'll trade the world
For the good thing he's found
If it is bad, he can't see it
It cannot be wrong
Turn his back on his best friend
If he puts it down

;D
Downloaded and flipped through it. Will read more when I'm relaxed up!

hah...not my own. Somewhat morphed from a song, I thought was reasonably famous.

Still haven't read through the whole thing. It is long, especially for a read off the PC! :(

I'll admit. I readed it. It was...interesting....somewhat. :o

Pokemon is stupid! >:(
Not saying your story is stupid or that you are inherently stupid for having written it. I just felt like expressing angry faces at how stupid Pokemon are.

It actually made me appreciate the 'Mons more than I previously had done.
So much so, in fact, that I tried to find a fansub and watch the old series though fresh eyes, but I couldn't find more than a few episodes that didn't have that Ameridub on them.

So... yeah.

Also Babar, that's song was the first thing that went through my head when I saw this thread title, too. :=

Wrestling a post out of monkey in a thread that touches pokemon (though with a moderately long and pointy stick) makes me gleefully proud  ;D Glad you got some fun out of the story.
