Hey! So i'm stuck with a GTX 780 and I want to upgrade. I mainly use my computer for 3d rendering but once in a while it's fun to play a game as well. I'm not looking to spend an insane amount of money but I want sonething better. What do you suggest? :-)
Stick to AGS games and you won't need a new card :P
Haha yeah you're probably right :D
I have a RTX 2070 and it's still good for a lot of games today. I almost few the AAA studios are holding back a bit.
If you are buying a new NVidia card (you mentioned rendering so I guess you want CUDA), my guess is figuring out what you can find at a reasonable price near you and just getting it. If you play or plan to play a particularly demanding game it may be useful to check how well it works.
Not a monster card at all but a lot better than the old gtx 780. I got myself a ASUS TUF GF GTX 1660 TI O6G EVO and I have no idea what all of those letters means except 6 gb memory :D

What grinds my gears: graphics cards' absurd names. Oops, wrong thread!
Have fun catching up on all those games you couldn't play before :-D
ASUS TUF GF GTX 1660 TI O6G EVO must mean A Super US Tough (TUFf) Girl Friend Gets To eXecute 1660 Traveling Idiots Owning 6 Gold Evolution!
There's no wonder this evolved girl friend is able to crush whatever games you throw at him!1!!1111
Haha that sounds about right :-D
