So here I was finding myself thinking of what stops "US" Well some of US to not create adventure games.
I came up with these solutions...??

1)Loose intrest after seeing how much work it is? HEHEHE like art school love these kinda guys.
Ã,  Ã,  They also "start" these kinda projects with the wrong approach and wrong expectations.
2)Just to lazy to do what needs to be done. yeah truth be told me matey! ARRR
3)"I cant do a specific type of thing..." we hear this alot. Eg : I cant do graphics... Well look at pleuhberg <spelling>
Ã,  Ã,  Not greatest graphics ok as a matter of fact they SUCK! The game was played by hundreds! even thousands.
Ã,  Ã,  Ã, Besides we have things like templates these guys didnt!
4) I want a team to help me. Well if you need a team its al good I agree get one. (this might take longer than actually
Ã,  Ã,  creating your game...)
5) "I dont like fan games..." Well then make your own game.

Ok I might of missed a couple but none the less, there are these umm EXCUSES!
Truth be told, I'm not even a person that can take my thousand page stack of concept to pc. I look at things and fix them find bugs andÃ, kill them, I do Art not well but I do.

So whats stopping me since well I have never produced a game yet?

Well the sheer fact of me being lazy oh wait i mean busy! ARRR!! Oh and that I cant focus on one thing for too long before I want to do the next thing, I hop around between titles and I have developed many finished and not so finished.. by doing this. I am focusing on about three different projects at once now 2 Concept and 1 going live.

OK lets get to the point of the post :

This post is here to get opinions form you guys as to what will and what will not help you break the barrier of your own game. What YOU need to do to get it rolling, and to actually finish your life long game idea.
( hiding in the little lucas arts zombie follower somewhere in there!)
By the way I'm having a little writers block on this same topic, I am writing a DOC on to help all n00bs that look into the world of gaming! or AGS'n or Whatever..

Number 2 is the only valid excuse.  The others are just off shoots of 2.

That's my excuse right there - I don't have an idea, and I don't want to rush to start working on every little thing that pop in to my head. (If I did, there'd be a least a dozen more abandoned projects in GiP.)
So, I guess:

6) "I want to make a game, but don't have a story.

As to what'll break that down, I wish I knew. I have a years-long case of writers block here.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.
