Title: Who was the first Woman/Man on T.V. (or other) that got you interested.
Post by: RetroJay on Fri 30/10/2009 01:50:53
Hi all.

I got into a conversation tonight down the local and thought this might be a laugh.
It was all to do with television programs we remembered as kids.
Here is the question.

At what point in your life (when you were a young boy or girl watching T.V.) did you ever think "Oh yeah. I want you...Ooh!".
What show was it And who did it for you.

For me I think that 'Daisy Duke' of 'The Dukes Of Hazzard' did it for me. ;)
Don't be shy. Let us all know your childhood dreams.

Jay.

Hi Dualnames.

I have modified my first post a bit since last night as it wasn't very clear what I meant.
But hell you are right she was hot.

With this in mind I have now changed the rules.
Lets go for all types of media not just T.V. ;D

Olivia Newton John's "Physical" Video.

Let's see, the song came out in 1981 and I was only 8 years old, but still, have you seen that video? Plus I found her very HOT in the movie Grease as lonely little Sandy.

Heather Thomas in The Fall Guy. And shortly thereafter I was given Buck Rodgers, where there was a hot chick in each episode.
And, well, is is sick to mention Teela?

While this will "date" me a bit ... for me it was Erin Gray on Buck Rogers [in the 25th century]

That picture still gives me goosebumps!

There was one episode where she was very distressed and Hawk and Buck were comforting her and she was crying.  I suddenly realized I had different feelings for women than "motherly".  Oddly enough this was when I first realized that I have an absolute weakness for women's tears.  I don't tell my girlfriend(s) this, of course, but if they start crying they can get just about anything they want from me.

Retract what I said about the "Physical" video. I just watched it after so many years and it is pretty much half naked men. Yuck!!!

But I still stand by Olivia Newton John though. Oh, and Nellie Olsen from Little House on the Prairie I thought was attractive in a weird kind of way.

Thanks for understanding,  :)

Darth Mandarb.

To true 'Colonel Wilma Deering' (Erin Gray) from 'Buck rogers [in the 25th century]'
was extremely HOT...HOT...HOT.

However there was something not right with Buck. How could you NOT be all over her like a rash?
She obviously liked him but, oh no, he didn't want to know, did he?

O.K. My childhood dream has changed. Now it is to be driving the 'General lee' with 'Daisy duke' and 'Wilma deering' sitting in the back whist I drive them
to a secluded spot within 'hazzard county'. ;)

I'm sorry I ever started this. It's bad for my health. ;D

Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman.  My Dad said he once saw her in an airport, and every single guy (airport staff included) was staring directly at her with zero subtlety.

Since Erin Gray and Linda Carter have already been claimed, I'll have to go with the first time a woman on the TV really made me sit up and take notice.

It was the early 80s. My dad and Uncle and were hanging out in the family room. We had a top-loading VCR and renting VHS tapes was the hip new thing to do. Pop put the Pam Grier movie Coffy in and pressed play.

My life was never the same.

Ah, memories...
