I'm a HUGE (HUGE) AC/DC fan. I've always been pissed that there were never any AC/DC songs for any Guitar Hero games.
Whilst in the wonderful work of Walmart, I saw the Rock Band track pack for AC/DC live. Now, on the box it says that it doesn't need the Rock Band game to play. Eh?
I've been googling today a bit and I hear that it WILL work and that it WON'T work. What's the deal? Does anyone actually know?
I've got a Wii and I've got Guitar Hero: World Tour.
Not a fan of World Tour, but, if I could play AC/DC live... shit, man, I'd be in heaven.
Thanks in advance,

It doesn't work with Guitar Hero, since Guitar Hero and Rock Band are separate games, by different companies (most of the time..)
It will work by itself, however your Guitar Hero instruments may not!

Quote(I can confirm that it DOES work with all the Guitar Hero Wii controllers)
QuoteThe Xbox 360 and PS3 versions merely add the tracks to the existing Rockband format, but the standalone Wii version is a game in itself. This is both a blessing and a curse, as although you don't need a copy of Rockband to play the game
From the first review here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AC-DC-Live-Rockband-Wii/dp/B001PGW3IA
Thanks!
Looks like I would have to purchase a Rock Band guitar along with the game. I've got the guitar that came with GH:WT.
Ah well, maybe one day :)

Well, the matrix doesn't include the track pack, so don't go off that, but rather the amazon review, where the person claims that your GH:WT guitar will work. Same quote from original post:
