For windows users only.
Hey, you guys know when you install a new game, how it opens up a windows installer package that shows all the legal stuff, has the 'accept terms' box and shows your download as it installs onto your computer? This may sound stupid, but where can I find that so games can be put into it, and then downloaded onto computers using that?

Searching 'installer' in the forums brought up a bunch of matches, like this (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=36002.0) for example. You could save much time and effort if you do a search first before posting.
Also, I'm not so sure, but I think this is more suited in the General General forum than the Adventure General forum.
yeah thanks, acually, I debated with myself wheather to put this is beginners forum or general or tech, or this one. Thanks.
Well since it's not an AGS technical question, neither would've been good.
The most popular installer (which is free) seems to be Inno Setup (http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php), which has been around since 1997. I'm sure you'll recognize it from the screenshots.
Another good one is NSIS (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/), but it requires a little more scripting I think. On the other hand most of the cool guys use it.
Good and free .(InstallStation)
