Yeah like the topic said. I'm taking a break from the point and click games for a while. I've always wanted to do a zelda fan game. I'm doing one right now with the graphics from The legend of Zelda - A link to the past. I have such great memories from that game and I love the graphics. I'm not doing a remake of that particular game of course, I'm doing my own thing with it. Would you like to play a game like that? I really enjoy making it but if there's no interest from people what so ever it feels like a huge waste of time :D

Snake

No waste of time! I would play it.

I've got fond memories of that game as well. I used to love it. I never actually finished it though, since I was only borrowing it from a friend.

Heh, every Thanksgiving, the smells coming from the kitchen bring me back to a kid sitting out in the sun room (which we called a porch) playing one of the dungeons near the middle of the game, eagerly waiting to hear my mother say that it was time to eat :)
Grim: "You're making me want to quit smoking... stop it!;)"
miguel: "I second Grim, stop this nonsense! I love my cigarettes!"

Haha that sounds great! I remember when I got the game. It was in 7th grade. In the winter. My mom and stepdad had been away and stopped by one of swedens largest candy producer (Cloetta) my grandfather had a high position there so they visisted him on their way home and brought back a huuuge load of candy. So there I was. Sitting in my room and it was snowing outside like crazy...just me...the awesome load of chocolate and Zelda 3. OH I miss my childhood sometimes :D

Ps. You really should play it through. It's an awesome game from start to finish :)

Khris

I'd play it!

Every few months or so I fire up the emulator and play trough Zelda 3 again.

I don't blame you for doing that Khris :D Well then...I'm creating Kakariko village right now. And I've done a small cemetery area. I might as well upload a small demo soon. I'm working right now to make the inventory system work. Well it's more or less done but I still have to add some stuff etc. (The boomerang already works like a charm though :D ) I'm also doing a mailbox system. once in a while Link will receive mail from people. It could contain information, jobs to do and so on. I'm not gonna focus on Dungeons that much I think. I'd rather have more sidestuff to do to get heartpieces and other stuff. There will be dungeons too of course.

Paper Carnival

I would be interested. I even want to make my own "Zelda" game someday.

A few years back I bought an old SNES solely to play A Link to the Past ... that is/was one of the best games on the SNES in my opinion (there were other gems like Secret of Mana/Evermore, Chronotrigger, etc) but there was just something about aLttP.

Anyway ... if you make a fan game; as long as it's actually playable and worthy of the title, yes I would definitely play it.

I bought the game cartridge from ebay just over a year ago because I used to play it for a few moments on my cousins house.
Once it came in the mail, I played it for a few hours and stopped. I keep meaning to get back to it.

So yes. I would play your fangame.
