Granted, fairly similar in theme, but one's Heathrow and one's Africa. With my PoS, five year old, goes-out-of-focus-within-seven-feet camera these were basically the only two I was happy with in three rolls of film. I wish I had a digicam. Anyway, I thought it was quite interesting, given the essential similarity, but also the stark contrast.

They are nice pictures Flippy. I especially like the bottom one. True, if you did have a better camera, they would've probably turned out better, but they still turned out alright,
What wasthis travelling to Africa all about may I ask? It seeks a pretty cool place to go. I'd like to go there someday.

It was hot.

And pretty good, too. Ranks just below Australia as my favourite holiday. If you go, it's worth considering a package holiday - we went with Explore! and it was very well organised, and really nicely programmed. A bit exhausting, mind. It was for Tanzania and included going to Zanzibar.

Like I said, we went on a package holiday. Mind you, I don't expect Africa is too expensive. Even if the flights are pricey (and I'm not sure about that), one pound sterling is two dollars there, or two thousand Tanzanian shillings. Most things can be haggled for (usually to about a third of asking price :P), and it's pretty cheap. Just make sure you get injections. The food is very much influenced by Indian cuisine, and there's a whole lot of hard-boiled eggs, but even picky people shouldn't have a problem. As for English, yes, we spoke English, but a guide is useful. We only had to buy stuff and maybe ask for directions or the like, and almost all traders speak English, and alot of people talk English. For example, our driver was a keen linguist. He spoke English, French, German, and Spanish. You should be okay but I really suggest going with a tour package.

Lastly, it's pretty cool that I'm adorning someone's desktop :D Thanks.

Those pictures are so bad they're almost good (technically speaking). No offense, but it looks as though you took the photos through the bottom of a glass jar or something.

In terms of atmosphere and mood, they're great.

Going to Africa sounds like a blast, I really envy you.

I know  :/

My camera is... was crap. I'm getting a new one ^_^ Huzzah. Seriously, I was really pissed that Dad didn't see clear to suggesting it before, and I was damned if I was gonna ask - he obviously thought I had no interest in photography (which, to some extent, is true. I have no specific interest in photography. This doesn't mean I don't like it), and that any move to get a new camera would be cynical and empty. He bought a digicam in the airport just before we left :/

Enough of self-pity. At least I got some nice pictures.
