Zoo Keeper - http://www.ebaumsworld.com/zookeeper.html (It's available practically everywhere though)
I just feel that this game is worth a special little thread of it's own. I've been playing it all day and I'm only getting more and more addicted. It's probably been on the net for thousands of years and everyone knows about it but me, but for those who don't, take a look at it, it's great fun!
I've made it up to stage 8 with 17620 so far. Not too great, but I just end up falling it a heap everytime I get to that level.
I'm fairly sure there's a GB version of this game, I've sure I've seen it in stores and though, "Hmm, looks cute".
I just tried it and scored a whopping 60!! It seems like a cool game but i get nervous every time i look down at the timer instead of playing the game.
I'll have to try harder next time i guess. :)
love it, only 1050 on score tho :(
Gee, this is just like Bejeweled (http://www.popcap.com/gamepopup.php?theGame=diamondmine), the ever-so-popular puzzle game that recently got a sequel.
... Except this one has animals.
Fun nonetheless.
Ah, you people give up too easily ^_^
While I'm here, let me advertise another game my friends and I have been into for the last month or so: Nanaca Crash!
http://megami.starcreator.com/nanaca-crash/
I've gotten up to about 18,000 I think, but that was a real fluke.
puh, 18,000

Typically, I get 2000-4000m and I think that's pretty standard. 'Course, it's also fun to see how short a distance you can get :) You can go for 0.00m. The time I got 18k was one of the first times I'd ever played the game. My boyfriend had been playing this game for days and hours on end, and I told him to give me a go. Played it about 3 times and just had this amazing run where I got special after special, and the really rare specials too. I thought I was pretty hot shit that day ^_- Beginner's luck, gotta love it.
I've heard some people have gotten up to 90k but you never know if these things are true or not. There are also some "special" version of the game where all the specials are permanently turned on, etc.
I have no idea what's going on, but it's fun...
How the heck do you get so high? I can't get past 800!
Well, a lot of it is to do with luck, and practise. Also, knowing how to get specials. Keep an eye on the bar at the top and when a particular girl is lit up, try to land on her. If you DO, and "SPECIAL" pops up on the screen, quickly click the mouse button and you'll get a good boost (some a lot better than others).
One thing to keep in mind is your red and blue arrows on the left hand side. Red arrows can be used when the word 'Aerial' is coloured red (which happens when you're coming down towards the ground again). Click the button to use one (you have three total in the game, they can't be replenished) and it will give you an upwards boost. A good place to use these is when you're heading down towards the green "Stop" girl and you can use this to avoid her.
The blue ones can be used when you're starting to rise up into the air again ('Aerial' will turn blue) and these ones are the real bread winners. You should use one of these when you're looking like you'll head over the top of a girl you want to land on, and if you get the timing right, you can send yourself back down to hit her. You only have one blue arrow at a time but these will replenish when the percentage reaches 100% (it goes up as you fly through the air immediately above the road but not off the top of the screen).
Basically, red makes you go up, blue makes you go down.
Hitting the right girls and getting specials can send you really far, and if you get special after special after special, you can fly at phenominal speeds.
Wow 19260 for zookeeper.

Woah, I had tired this game for months and so far my best distance was probably around 3000 only. :P
I got 22910 for Zoo Keeper earlier ^_-
Can't believe you obtained so a high score, Kinoko! You're a game master! My best, at the fourth attempt is just 5680!
edit: oh, probably just a matter of exercise (and understanding how to use the random animal bonus square). 7th attempt, 13270
The other game is not as easy understandable as ZooKeeper, though I manage to obtain a 4595,01, someway.
7th attempt? You're doing well. I got that score after playing for HOURS! I sucked at first.
And this year's award for, "Person most responsible for causing Darth to wile away countless hours" goes to .... KINOKO!!! ;D
Every now and then I stumble across a game like this (or somebody shows me the way) and I spend HOURS just working after it. I finally finished level 7 and lost on level 8 with about 13,000 points. Sheesh ...
Yep, getting from level 7 to 8 is my big hurdle. I've done it a few times, but never made it to 9 (and getting to 8 is still a big struggle)
EDIT: Just got 28520 at lvl. 8 - woohoo!
I can't get past the level where the monkeys start appearing (level 7?), but that game is insanely infectious. Almost 'Dr. Robonic's Mean Bean Machine' infectious. It's so damn infuriating when you know there's a move to make, but you just can't spot it.
The other one seems a bit too random and infused with anime lunacy for me to really take to.
Monkeys o_o I thought they were babies! I'm sitting there going, "Damn! Stupid baby level"...
True, it's SO frustrating when you know there's a move and you can't see it. Even worse is when you see it at the last moment and go to click only to have the game end.
Well not good, but okay... for that other game.

I'll keep trying.
Is there someway to get a HUGE score increase in ZooKeeper that I don't know about?
I lost on level 6, but I had 35,750 points. (On level 5 I cleared away a huge block with one move which, after it condensed, cleared away about 20 more moves)
Like most other block puzzle games, I think this game follows the most popular chain combo rules, that is your score can grow exponentially if you have more levels of chains.
When you clear some blocks, the blocks above fall down, if more blocks are cleared after they fall down, it's called a chain, if after that, the above blocks fall down and are cleared again, it's a 2nd level chain, etc. Most games reward chains with BIG scores so thoughtful people may have some strategy and plan before making a move (though most of the time chains were just because of luck := , especially for faster later stages when you can't waste time making a decision).
Confession: after dismissing Nanaca Crash my housemate took a liking to it and I promptly got addicted also. Yesterday I got just a notch under 18000 thanks to some bouncy force field bonus, though my pc doesn't seem to have saved the score. Also I've been wide awake for 24 hours and counting rushing my most important essay ever and my brain is fast ceacing to function. but Zoo keeper eases the pain.
Ah, I'm so glad I've infected you Paul. Congrats on the great score in Nanaca ^_^ Those bouncy specials are great...
I myself got to level 9 in Zookeeper yesterday, the first and only time it's happened. Wasn't a great score though. Still, I was proud -_-
A guy i work with watched me play Nanaca Crash on my work computer during my lunch break, and now i got him hooked.
He even beat my high score. That dirty bastard is gonna have to pay.
Nobody i work with should ever beat my measly score.
While we're talking about free online games, I just come accross Whizzball (http://kids.discovery.com/games/whizzball/whizzball.html), which is that kind of "make it work" games (like incredible machine) and it's addicting, since people are constantly making new puzzles.
Yeah, ADDICTING, VERY ADDICTING, TOO MUCH ADDICTIVE!! ::)
Thanks, damn Gilbot, now I can't stop playing it!
Anyway:
