What do you have to do after you get rid of the tree? Im stuck at that part.

After you cut down the tree you have to go up to the room with the double bed in it and use the windw, then use your grolly on the loose

BTW I.m stuck at the part where you have use the Matthew detector to find his body, i've gotten into the basement area but I'm stuck Plz help me!

If your Matthew detector is working (you DID dip it into salt and you DID wave it over Matthew's bed) and it already led you all the way down to the basement, just keep on using it. Is should incade North, South, East or West. Walk a bit in that direction. Use it again. Repeat until it's pointing straight down again. A new hotspot should appear (Area) et voila!

You need to speak with Simone and Jim. Tell them to meet you in the trophy room. Give the gun to Simone and the teddybear to Jim. After that use the black magic book to yourself and watch.

I am in a 3rd day...
Corresponding to the hints i have read the newspaper, book on the DeFoe faily, Sir Roderick's diary, Matthew DeFoe diary as well. But I still can't find a book on white magic in the library... and so I can't make a detector to find Mattthew's body...
Please help me...

Use "Look" at all the books there. Check out every colour I mean.

Then (if trilby is finding something interesting) "Use" it!

Tribly is only interested in black colour books...
But as soon as I want to take one of them he says  "I can't think of use for any of these books at the moment"....
After reading all the books Tribly doesn't even  say "I must find Matthew's body"... as it is written in the hints
Maybe I have done something wrong??
Pls answer....
