Kristmas Krisis

I'm currently stuck but hope others can help.

I've infiltrated the strike factory, I've made it to the two mainframe rooms, and I have also broken into the weapons room.  I currently have two thoughts; one is the floor level I need to go to and the other one is where are all the people at?

In addition to the thoughts, my inventory consists of shot of rubbish, knife, keyboard, disassembler, beaker, key, pen(cil), tin gun, and a book about containing fire control systems.

I'm out of ideas.  This game has my brain wrapped into a pretzel!

You'll need to find out what floor level Herbert (was it Herbert? That pickle) went to. Hm... if you could only find a list of floor level symbols and their respective meanings... when you find one, be sure to use the thought on it.

When you find that level, be informed it's not a pixel hunt. Just throughly explore the area... which has nothing to do with a pixel hunt.

Hehe, well real life intruded in my AGS game playing, so I fell pretty far behind.  Trying to catch up now. 

Thanks for the hint, it enabled me to reach both endings.  That game was longer than I was expecting!
