Has anyone had trouble finding the pig ? Possibly a bug ? this is what ive got

Potatoe, salt, cook book, ive been to my room, spoke to George again, but when i go to the field with the fence theres no pig, and ive read in other topics that there should be.
Am i missing something ?!
