Title: Banana Man
Post by: on Fri 02/02/2007 15:03:56
I'm stuck at the locker.

Spoiler
I found the locker and found three numbers in the toilet, 2,1,5. Should I use this numbers on the locker? I tried several times but don't know how to use them.

did you remember to pass the second number one time?   that was my problem when i first did it.  the locker is not necesasry to complete the game, but it does contain the best item in the game!  i hope you are enjoying the game so far.

Use the right button to get to the first number, then use the left button to get to the second number, but pass it one time so you are actually spinning the dial completely, then use the right button to go to the final number.

i hope that makes sense.

I just downloaded the game to my work computer and it worked fine for me.  Is anyone else having this problem?

it is sometimes hard to tell with the animation, just be careful so that you stop on the right numbers, and hit reset if you mess up.

Nevermind, finished!
I liked the pencils, but you should try a lighter color for the road.

The sheer size of that football field plus the character's walking speed is a huge turnoff.

Cinfa, I also got the ticket, and I also ask now what, kindly enlighten me. :)

EDIT - Nevermind, am back on track. Geez, I had to *cheat* with Ctrl-X in order to get into the room the game started in.

yeah, i intentionally made the footballfield and basketball court huge.  it is a short ame, so it takes a while to explore those rooms, at least you have the potential to get a few points...

was there a problem getting back into the classroom?  i have not heard of anyone else having that problem.

salut

The problem was mostly that all doors in the game are interacteable, and that's how you open them, except for THAT door. Also, I had tried clicking "walk" on it, and it brought me close to the door but apparently not enough to trigger a room change. It was only later, after cheating, that I found how how I had to enter the classroom.

BTW, that "intentional" is a bad intentional in an adventure game, where exploration is to be rewarded, not a bore.

oh mon dieu

i thought that that one was interactable, i will go back and correct that.  also, the directional keys work as well so you should be able to just use the up arrow to get in that door.

i will also edit my original post in the completed games section to ask questions regarding people's opinions on things i should change.

Err.. when I pick up the ticket, the dialogs with people change, and I start asking about the football field. But  if I don't get back before to my room, the field is epmty.
So.. why should I have to get back to my own classroom, when everybody around me is talking about a football field? The dialogs should change only after I talked with Alvin, and there should be some hint about going back to my room (or at least I did'nt find it).

oh, I forgot: matbe there's a problem with football field walk-behind map, it seems to has an offset.

I will have to check to see if there is an offset on the football field.Ã,  I do not know how that would have happened since i don't know how to add an offset though.

Also, I added a walkthough with point totals, and the manual to my website.Ã,  They are included in the zip file now, or you can download them from the following links:

I had a similar problem with offset.. which is the game resolution and bit depth?

about the cement: maybe transitions points between screens should be more visible (changing the cursor, i.e.)

after you give your speech in the gymnasium, go outside the building to where the little construction thing is and there will be a bag of cement.

sorry but the bag of cement must be invisible because all I see by the construction sign is grass. Is this a pixel hunt?

I remember it was pretty big... that's really strange.  ???

it does only appear after you have changed into banana man, gone to the gym, and then clicked on the megaphone to trigger the cut scene.

Yeah I know that and did all that. I changeed into banana man, gone to the gym and used the megaphone and then the cut scene. (he gets smacked by an ape man...)
I must be missing something though because still no cement.

No wonder. I am using the demo. How do you get the full size game?

The game is available from Mythopoeagames.  I hope that you found the demo enjoyable enough to purchase the game.  The full game is $4, and it features the cement which you had been looking, plus a lot of other things that I hope you will find worth the 4 bucks.  Here is the link:
