Quest for cinema, finished?

I finally got into the cinema, a speech box said something like "your quest is ended, or is it" and the game shut down. Is that it? Have I been wandering round clicking and combining everything in sight for this? Or has the quest failed because I haven't done loads of the things everyone else keeps talking about? Reassure me pleeeease.
