I'm really enjoying this game but am stuck near the end.

I have opened all doors (including the secret one) except the apartment door. I think I need to bend the lamp post (since I have the hand on a rope) and/or do something with some sugar cubes.

No it wouldn't: the 2 wires to a one-way light switch are always both live: the switch simply breaks the live continuity. Turning off the switch simply stops one of the wires from being live. See http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/lightcircuit.htm for more details...

Give glue to the chained up zombie guy then you will be able to get his doll.

No. It's between the top hat-door and the zombie doll-door.
You get into it by simply interacting with it, but I notice that when I do that, Ben or Dan says "This wasn't here before", so you may have to do other actions in the game to unlock the door. Personally I think I found it as one of the first things after I opened the lava world door, but it may have been there earlier too.
OK, thanks. I haven't got that far yet, so maybe that's why I can't do anything there yet.

I assume I have to do something with the guys drinking beer in the pub to get them to fall unconscious so that the barman will give me his hat... but what? I know how to get their glasses refilled, and suspect I have to do something while the barman is doing this, but what? I have the lighter, scissors, zombie hand, Bible, stone, Blu Tack, coins, sponge and loo cakes.

You should have a sponge by now... throw that at the watery-blob guy. The sponge will soak him up and the ticket will fall to the floor. You should easily be able to pick it up using the normal hand cursor.

I made it through the door requiring the doll. I have the loo cakes and the key... but I can't seem to get anything else done?
Haydn, here's some hints for you to help you without giving it away, in decreasing order of subtelty:

Have a look at what other objects you need to open the doors to the other dimensions. See if something looks familiar.

Check out the pub again, you need to get something from here. You should have the items you need.

You need to get the top hat from the barman, so you'll have to get him to leave. He says he's tired of dealing with drunkards collapsing... Have you been to all the rooms in the pub?

Go through the back door in the pub, and then use the key to unlock the far left door to the cellar. Go into it and use the tubes which go into the beer kegs to switch them round. Go back up to the main pub room and talk to the lager louts. Ask them about their drinking game, keep talking to them until they drink up after saying 'come on England'. They should collapse which is the last straw for the poor barman.

Lava world: Go to fish-n-chips shop, get a board from the boarded-up door. Use board on lava.

In spaceship, check the area between two doors -- I seem to recall it was the dino world door and the 51st state world door -- there's a hidden door there which wasn't there before, but you can now open it. In there, you'll find the crowbar.
The item you need for the other puzzle you're mentioning is in a world you haven't unlocked yet.
Well I'm down to taking care of the camera (at least I figure that's the only thing left in the museum) and I'm most stumped. Any help? Much appreciated.

You need to cycle through the actions until you get Dan's head. Use that to click on the light switch. Apparently he loves doing that! Now you can safely touch the wire.

There's a rock in the yin room. If I remember correctly, that was the one you unlocked with a cross.
it's crazy, but I still can't see it! I'm standing in the yin room, seeing the door that i came from, an yin on the island, an opened door, a street-lamp, a wrecked London, and another floating island. I have a sponge and coins in my inventory. AND I DON'T SEE ANY ROCKS FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS ;D

i moved Ben around a little(Dan is standing still all the time). No, nothing like rocks or smth..
Worst case scenario: There's a bug in the game which has caused the rock to disappear completely.

I don't know exactly what happened to Dmitry or not (I just said that in the worst case scenario, there could be a rock-removing bug in the game), but IF the situation is that the rock needed to progress in the game disappears at some point if you don't do everything in the correct order so that you can't even finish the game, I would call that a bug, yes..
If the situation is something completely different, e.g. that the rock moves around in the game and is placed on random places depending on progress in the game or that I misunderstood Dmitry somehow (which could happen), feel free to ignore my stupid rambling. But IF an object needed to progress in the game disappears so that the game is impossible to finish ... that's a bug.

There's nothing complicated going on with the rock whatsoever. It's a simple object that's visible on startup, and in plain view on entering that dimension...

You don't have to have a wire, you should use the wire in the box. Then replace the panel.
I have the same question can I get inside the castle (finished the game didn't need it but curious!)
You can't get into the castle, it's only there as exposition.
You can get into the museum shop, though ;)
