can't believe where this game is going......This definately is a finished game......... I am so stuck by the snake and those bobbing things in the tree. They both want food. And there are two other scenes that have me lost also.

I am also stuck with trying to feed the snake and the red blob. Have 2 sticks, leaf, tail, bowl, creature, chess piece. Tried using everything on everything. Think I need to somehow do something with the smoke to make the red blob hungry but I can't get close enough. Anyone worked it out? Also can't commit the runes to memory. I did notice that if you go to your inventory really fast after looking at the bottom rune, a memory cloud is in the inventory for a split second but I can't do anything with it.

i think i need to get over the bridge, but i can't get to the bridge. and how must i get the coin in the slot? he says the slot is too high?

when you come out of that twirly thing and you see the face with the slot, you are up high already. You can drop the coin from there. Death will come with a boat. This is how you get back to places you have been already. Where did you get food for the hangy thing??? I only have a rock that has a scent of cheese on it.

Looks like I have some catching up to do, I haven't even been to the moon yet! cittymom I haven't figured out the termite maze thing yet, but I did see it LOL. Looks like you have to have all the lights on first though to get to see the maze, have you managed to do that yet? Right now I am looking for something to give the alien guy thats cooking the bacon maybe its on the moon

I have finally made it through the maze. It was just executing and getting the lights to all light up. However, I have had a major game crash shorly after the maze and I did not save game.... so I will be doing it again!!

cittymom, the game crashed on me too but it was at the beginning before he went to hell and I hadn't saved either so I had to start over. Guess we will be saving often from now on just in case.

when you fall down from the moon you land in the water, right. then go right, and past the cave. you will find an area with a podium. there is some sea weed left of the podium. "interact" with the seaweed. a message will appear "milroy is here". then, walk up the podium and "talk" to the empty space left of the podium. in the textbar, type in "milroy". (or whatever name is written on the wall behind the seaweed)

About stones: Did you see the creature in the hole that is slightly below and to left of the termite hole? You cannot hear him. You will need an item to hear him which can be found in area ABOVE the snake. Use this item on little creature.... he will give you 3 stones.

once finished with termite maze, you will find bellows in ahouse. look at it.
go up the plant thing to the top, and use the bellows with the smoke.
the termite lights:

you have to turn on the green lights 1st, then the blue lights, and lastly the yellow light. talk to a termite in a hole a few paces down. he will give you 3 rocks that you have to use to change the course of the termite in the maze. it's basically trial and error. you can find a horn by looking at the sun, which will make you hear the termite.
to feed the snake:

after you beat the termite maze, you will have access to a meat house. shoot down 4 pigs, including the spotty one. remember when you sot down the spotted pig (eg, 1st, second, 3rd, etc.) then choose the packet. go cook the sausage and gie to snake, he will move.
to get cotton:

pizlehunting: in the place (swamp like) where you don't want to go further, because he is scared, there is a bush on the left side of the screen. you can get cotton here.
feeding death with the huge blow fish:

once you've use the tail of puggle's somewhere, can't remember where, i think on the hatch on the giant carcass, then it will turn into lots of bones. then, go to the hook, and use kilroy's card on the hook. it will be sticky. then use the bones with the hook. death now eats the huge blowfish, and you'll get a balloon.
the only use i have found is using the balloon with kilroy's behind, letting me fly up to the sun. but i already got there on my own by looking at the sun?

i talked to the mountain right outside the guy with the campfire. he wants to find his brother. his brother is through the dark wood, look out for some sort of carcass with a hatch on it. i opened the hatch, only to reveal an eye. when i put in the yellow gem in the little hole, the eye seems to stay in position. i have no idea why???Ã, ???Ã, also, how do i make the carcass stone thing understand me when i talk to it???Ã, ???

The moon is up in the sky past those trees on that hill. Blob, blob trees Three of them Go past the snake, down the hill to the left and then left again thru mudlike color. I only know that you have to go far to the right with the walk icon when on that hill with the trees to see the moon. When you see it, put the see icon on it and off you go to the moon

Anybody having trouble with saves????? I had to go delete them from my files, but that is not working either. I only seem to have two saves now in my game and hope I can finish this game with those.

I picked up the bellows in the house and then somebody turned up and I got threw out and can't get back in to do the other stuff that you did in the house.
You may have figured this bit out by now but you asked about back of house where lonely rat is, put toy on the bird stand and you find another stick. Something moved when I put toy on stand but it stopped, I don't know if I was supposed to do something real quick or what.

How the heck did you guys finish that maze? Can you do it with just the 3 small rocks? It doesn't seem to be enough to cover all the routes he can take. Am I missing something important? I'm going nuts here.

Bog can climb! Also when you get to top you can use one other wood object that is in your inventory to reach it. As for tickling the moon bug, I think we may need that golden ket which I have not gotten yet!

I finally figured out how to feed hanging red guy but now I know I need something else to get by him. Anybody figure out how to do that yet? I finally got the dog bone too, don't know what its for yet.

Hi everyone,
I hope you're all aware you are playing a rather buggy version. As a sort of patch to avoid the bugs, 1) don't get the mega-phone until you can walk to it, 2) when in the house get the bellows first. Whether not doing this makes it impossible to complete is too complicated for me to work out, I think it doesn't matter but it's possible it does. Or just wait for the completed game announcement, coming soon. Thanks for playing anyway.
finally got past the red hanging thing:

when you have the leaf, go through that spiraling portal thing past death. then the leave will go aerodynamic. then use this new leaf with the vine, and the termites will go tored dude.

yeah, i've been trying to see some sort of pattern/sequence, but it seems different everytime? and i don't know how long it goes on either. i'm not good with sound puzzles, i'm afraid. :-\

I just can't to figure out how to get back into house but I did do something else.
Ya know the thing that you broke the tail on, the one that you can't get to understand you, its in the scene up from where the mole is i think, did you put gem into the little niche, then run around that scene and the eye gets faster and faster and drops out and you can pick it up. So now I have a glass eye, have no idea what its for though lol.

I am still in the house. have not taken the bellows. Please help I cannot answer the question when music is playing. I still think it has something to do with one of the rhymes in the blue sky. Tried it but did not work

found something interesting but cannot go further. If you have the eye and try to go to the moon you get blocked. Also if you go to the sun and try to put eye in "lamp" it says that you are not close enough

the blob trees block you when you are carrying the eye, they want it, you give it to them and one puts it in and then it dies and another one takes its place, you get the eye back, but you cannot go any further on that ledge to get to moon. ok one thing is for sure. The eye goes on that hanger in the sun....It keeps telling me I am not close enough when I try to put it there.......
problem with hook

when i try to put the bones on the hook after using the card it says " that might not be right". All I can do is feed the blowfish bones. Have I missed something?

don't know what is happening with that. you put the sticky card on the hook and then the bones on top of it. they stick and the blowfish pulls it all up and eats away. thats what is suppose to happen......

I did what Lynn did and then managed to get the eyeball attached to that thing on the sun, it made a bridge over to where the megaphone was but I had already picked that up already. So I think I have screwed things up with playing the buggy game. I just can't get back into house after getting chucked out when I picked up the bellows, when I put the toy on the birdhouse at the back of the house the rat looked at it and his wheel went round and I think the gate lifted up. But I can't do that anymore, toy is still sitting there but nothing happening.
Joyce, I also did what you did with the eyeball but I already had the megaphone - so maybe my game is also messed up because I have played a buugy version

Mordaless - the correct way to get back with the coin is to look at the moon when you are above the coin face. The feather duster will ensure that you get back to the original screens.
See previous postings about feather duster and eyeglass with bridge.
I am also struggling with the dogs.

you need to use the runes on the stones and if you haven't got into that house yet you won't have them. However I have opnly managed to get riid of three of them with the runes, not sure about the 4th one

i can hardly remember this part now, but the red hanging thing wants termites, you have to make the smoke blow over his direction to make him hungry and then use the leaf on the green vine thing that red thing is hanging on and the termites will come and red thing eats them. Haven't figured out the molten lava thing yet

Now i've gone and blown it all.....I put the balloon in kilroys butt and talked to him again and he blew it up, but it wont allow me to take it like it did in past times. It says something about it has a hole in it. So it is stuck there, lol And you thought you were having a hard time with this game????

Yeah it's game over if that balloon gets stuck.
If anyone has problems with save games not working, just rename the saves you have to agssave.000, agssave.001 etc. then you'll get the full 20 slots back.

since the game is over for me, I thought I would let you know the bugs I encountered....... When going into the game and trying to reload, it doesnt always work...and you have to go through the whole front part again.
also:
The rock that died and drops the hot stone,,,if you talk to the rock again, it talks back even though it has died.
Great game as usual though and I understand that I encountered these problems because you hadn't released it yet for playing............. Why oh Why???????

The mole comes out and beats on the bellows. I attached the balloon to bellows, then patched the balloon with sticky stuff. The balloon explodes and there is now an albino mole that you can talk to and pick up and carry in your inventory

The piece will be back in your inventory. All that happens is that you remember the position, which also goes into your inventory. Play the record and then LOOK AT the record while it is playing. Remember to make it loud.Ã, You will be asked a question when you exit. Now open the painting to get to the safe and then use all these numbers your found, which will be in your inventory, to break the code. That will help you remember when you leave

ok did all that but I was surprised to see the piece still in my inventory. I do have the memory and broke the safe code. My other question is I have all the memories now in my inventory and I went to snake place and did the 3 rune memories and now have 3 ghosts in sky, but I still cant get that duster. I am having a problem with the poop. After looking at hand, touching it and then looking up on blue area, fence, pigs and brown area at different times, I still cannot get it.

You have to have an eye to get over gap......for second question, do you have bellows? use them to make smoke drift over to red thing..... then it will get hungry.

The only way I could figure out getting all the lites on was to do a save after each lite that went on. You have to get all green lites on first, then blue and then the yellow....

Well then you have a long way off to be able to get back into the house as you can see from the hints here. It happened to lots of people, you can get back in, but you have to go through many steps to do so.....I had grabbed the bellows first, so when I got thrown out, at least I had them.....Lots of luck

You are not meant to be able to open the safe, the first time you enter the house. There is a bug that allows you to do so. But it is more important that you don't.

Well back after almost another hour of searching for anything and guess what>???????? I found nothing new....So frustrating........I almost feel that you can send up as many of those ghosts by having some kind of order of putting the memories on the runes, but I still get stuck with the one in the water area so I dont know........and what is the duster for???? tried using it on almost everything.....
I just want you guys to know I am not as dumb as I seemed when I was asking questions about markings on runes. My problem is that I can't see them, I don't know if its a problem with my moniter or not, I have it up at its brightest and its darn near blinding me. I can only see the one marking. LOL

you have to go through that portal thing where bog rotates in. the leaf will then turn aerodynamic.

I am assuming you have blown the balloon up and used it and floated down on to the sun. When you are floating near the top, use the eye on the thing at the top, the thing that tells you it has something missing. Don't wait until you float down to the bottom/hide]

You use it to get off the moon without falling in the water. It takes you to the blob blob trees. You just tickle the spider with it. Not sure if it has another use.
I agree we need to get that moss to get the other rune to get rid of the 4th ghoul. No luck with the dogs yet.

I think you are both still okay. You've just bypassed parts of the game, that you would have been needed to complete, in order to get where you already are.

I have an important question to ask you...... I went into the lake and into the dragon monsters mouth, but I didnt see the golden key in there...... Now that whole scene is over with and I went back into the lake and the monster won't open his mouth again...... Is my game over????? or can I get back into his mouth to get that key... ok I see where you are now... I didn't get into the dragons liar though.....rang bell and they popped up but didnt take me.......????? eye icon scanned hill and I saw the dragons liar, but didnt have a way to get there. Saw mirage of wife in kitchen also, but nothing either.....

you need to find something in the forest so that they will take you up to the lair, but save game first if your saves are working now because i think you need a rune to get out of the lair. i've gone back to my last save to see if i can find another rune or something. you'll see why when you get into the lair

I used the rock in the forest where it says the little bug thing is fast,Ã, and it stayed there and I got points, then I used other things in my inventory in the same place,gem, feather duster, etc and everytime I do that I get more points - bug maybe? My points just keep going up and up. So I need to know if the little rock is the correct thing to use. Didn't save it because I will lose the saved game before doing all that and I want to be able to go back again

i was stuck there too, keep talking to the window, keep knocking on the door, keep talking to door etc, and eventually the people inside will talk to you and you can borrow broom

when you put the broomstick on the insect hole in the forest the rock suddenly appears on there and if you keep putting the broomstick on the hole you keep getting points

when you first exit the forest you can see a stone arch in the distance. says you need to see it form the hill. have you found a place you can see it from?

you can use the stone and go back to the river and there are a ring. When you take the ring and go to the swamp and rind the bell and wlak back in the swamp you go in the dragon's cave. when you not take the ring you can walk back the swamp

when you are in the dragon's lair, have you tried putting the three rune memories on that stone? It does make the same sounds as before so maybe there is a pattern of putting them on that stone like the pattern we had to figure out with the barking dogs and maybe the egg will hatch? Or do we need another rune?

I had the same thoughts, except that all 4 runes make a sound on the stone.Ã, Also if I try to fly with the broom, it says that the dragon might see me

Yes I tried riding the broom also. There doesnt seem to be any markings on that stone so I don't know what we would be looking for....That's what made me think of using the runes we have. This game is so addicting......meant to say 4 runes
Just tried runes again on stone.... They do have different tones to them...Some are higher than the other sounds. So if you can try different combinations, I think we might get it.....
this is the sounds from high to low, I think.......Antenna, cherries, baby, tree runes...... but nothing happens, and I tried them in reverse also...... Maybe this is not the solution????? We cant give up......Somebody will figure this out.

nope. i'll just keep going until i get it. well done! when you look at the logic of it wretched wouldn't have intentionally wanted us to get stuck in there so there had to be a solution which didn't require getting out again to get something else. crikey you have to work out how the game author thinks. trouble is, wretched doesn't think like most people! (that's a compliment mate)

I have tried every combination. There must be something I am missing. Does it work as soon as you put the last baby rune on or do you need to cut it with the knife after or what?

Look carefully at each rune with the eye, before you pick it up and use it on the stone.............maybe you are mistaking one of the runes.......

i looked at the runes very carefuly and am using the right ones. i went back to my last saved game before entering the lair to try and get rid of the rat's cheese at beethoven's house as this is the only thing i can think of that may be causing me a problem. i give the rat cheese but the lamps don't light up. loving this game but goodness it's tricky!

Came down to bell. Also struggled to get through swamp, but rang bell and then managed to get through. Went to mirage of wife and was transported back.
Oh yes, i fetched the magma in shell but it did not melt the snow.

The points are not working good.
Did you read from the flowers by the house from Clod, on the hill.
When you take the flowers again (you don't see the flowers only the spot) then my screen get strange and when i keep clicking on the spot i see all images from the game ?

Yes, thanks for the bugs, I've fixed all the known ones. To be honest I've not actually played all the way through myself yet!, only in sections so I don't yet know the maximum score (without cheating ;) ). Final version should have an absolute maximum which will be in the in game manual.
By the way did anyone actually find the logical solution to the egg puzzle?

I just wondered if anyone figured out the order of runes in the Dragons Lair, logically, from the clues, rather than by trial and error.
wretched, any idea why i can't do that egg? i've looked at each rune before putting it on the stone and done in the correct order. is there something i need to have done first? sorry haven't figured out the logic yet

when you come back from the dragon's lair, and go left to the swamp (place where flowers ambush you) bog is transparent. it seems from here on out bog's baseline is always behind every other baseline onscreen, on every background. everywhere i go bog is behind something.

i also put the molten lava in the egg shell, but don't know what to do with it. i thought it would melt the snow, but for some strange reason it doesn't? ;D

The only person to figure out the order of the runes was Joyce and I dont know how she figured it out..... It was her clue that allowed all of us to finish this game........

I figured it out but not the logical way, I did it by trial and error. Then thought there was more to the game because I was able to pick up the hot stone with the top of the egg so I kept on playing trying to use that LOL

Yeah the drool thing is a bug, I forgot to empty the bowl after you use it on the moss, so you are still carrying it at end.
An Humala is a small rodent like, tree dwelling, creature native to AGS-72, along with the Sagophink which is most commonly pink, though it is believed that blue ones do exist, or rather did exist many years ago. It's still a debateable topic in AGS-72 ale houses.
oh hell. what a dork. *shuffles away in embarassment* someone else will probably make this mistake too so perhaps i'm just the first of many to do so. thing is, you get a response with the runes on the egg when you try it but nothing at all with the stone. maybe this could be made more clear for dolts like me?
finally finished. good now maybe i can get some work done...at least until the next version comes out. thanks so much wretched, that was hours of fun. we really appreciate all the effort you put in for no financial gain.

we picked up the hot stone with the shell of the dragonbaby egg, but never got to use it so we dont really know what that was all about........It had no use as far as we know in this game because this game was not a finished one and wretched was still working on it.

But...... I will tell you how to get the knife...
You have to play that number game again with those two worms. Do you have the oil can???? It was by the tent in the next screen beyond the dark forest where you put the fairie.
You must have the oil can to play the numbers game and get squirted with oil because when you have the can, some of the oil gets in the can and then you use this on the knife by Kilroy and it comes out.

I have the chess piece, the toy covered in saliva, Puggles' bowl, the weed-on gravel and the flowers. I know that I need to put the flowers back eventually, but there seems to be something else to do before that.

The walkthrough only really covers the other parts as I felt that part 1 was fairly straightforward.
There seems to be two versions of the game, an early and later version. So some of the threads are of no use. I am totally unable to place the eye in the Sun, nor simply walk to the duster in the blue sky as suggested in these threads. A really head scratching game. But some of the puzzles are a tad obtuse as the text doesn't really offer any hints as to what to do. Also, when trying to figue out the termite puzzle I was trying everything in my inventory. When I tried the sticky card I got from Kilroy, the game locked out. Is this a possible bug?

Have not got the rocks yet as I do not have the ear trumpet. Nor can I place the eye in the Sun so cannot get past the Cyclopses. Totally stuck.
Been pressing on with this great game day and night since my last post. Have spoken to the witch and been told about collecting flowers but do not have a clue where to go. I know I have to place the rune I was shown on a secret entrance on the mountainside, but where. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

by now you might have figured it out...... When you go around the mountain coming back from the witches house, go around a bit and then put either hand or eye icon on that mountain and you will get a message like, it feels different or something like that. use the rune the witch gave you on it......
Yes thanks, managed to find the entrance, warm up the shivery guy and talk to the drippy one. Have to go to the bloody carcass now but for life of me just can't remember where it is. Wandered everywhere I could remember but no go. Spent the last 24Hrs going round in circles. I know it's under the mountain just can't remember how to get there.

That I am, very frustrating though. Guess that's what it's meant to be though. :) Is the Icicle Race time dependent on how fast the chicken race was completed? 'Cos no matter how fast I move Getting to Looking down on hell, then Beethovens house, the icicle melts as I step in the window!

1st place to go: Snow, by witches house, speak to it, it will leave feather, put on the mark on snow.
2nd - Purple Forest - house - drop down and go around by where toy and rat was. Put feather on mark on path
3rd - Igloo speak to it and then put feather on mark
4th - Watering Place where cyclops are - He doesn't leave a feather so go to big tree next to dog kennel. Speak to chicken and it will leave a feather. Walk back to place in front of snake and put feather on mark
5th - Mountains, the lair speak to chicken and then you will fly away to bird on nest.
You need to say a word to get what you need. In fact you need two things from this bird in nest so you will have to make this trip again.

I did the same thing when I was playing the game....You have to use the magma. Put it in the igloo to heat up and the outside will melt and then you will have a closer feather outside to fly from with the icicle and it wont melt....... You are probably using the one nearer that golden pea tree? Wrong feather to fly from.....
You probably found the carcass by now???? go into cave and then go straight left (do not go down)

It is right there on the path as you walk in the dark forest area.
You cannot go far because it is so dark, so just look in the area you start out on.
by the way does DSD stand for DUMB SO DUMB?????
