I went back to the safe and used the memory fish on the safe again. I made no difference as far as i know.
For Beethoven to leave downstairs:Go using the feather to the house. You will land on top of it. First get the pipe if not having it already. It is on the roof and is supporting the smokething(chimney?).Now open the window and go inside. One of the stool legs is loose. Put the vase aside and you can change the loose leg with the pipe if you want.
The trick is in changing the pipe or leg with an icicle. The icicle can be found hanging on the iglo. Make sure to have a feather with you! Leave the lava in the iglo. You can pick it up again later. After changing go to the front of the house and try to enter. You'll hear the vase falling but Beethoven did not hear it. He's deaf. Go back to the house again and take an icicle with you, also again. The carpet upstairs is wet and you can pull it up now. You see a hole in the floor. Place the icicle in the hole and go to the entrance downstairs. Beethoven has left now to see where the water is coming from. You have to make the trip with the icicle probably again because ripping the carpet and all could take to long. The result is the same...Beethoven is leaving and you can enter the house again.

Go to the tree where the chicken sits above. Use the feather it drops when talking to go to the place above hell. Go from there using your broom to the desert. There should be a bowl and a fish

I am one of the lucky that had to start this game over.  Does anyone remember where they got the oil can?

thanks for answer on how to get rid of beethoven
The fact that you did the memory thing with the safe even though you had memory must make a difference somewhere even you didn't see anything happen, at least this is how I understood wretched's explaination that he sent to rosie

As for me.....I didn't start the 'whole' game over; however, I went waaaay back to one of my earlier saves. I started 'somewhere' in Part 2. At the point where I had NO memory bubbles, runes, etc. It appears the ONLY thing I had done was the 'eye' and got the thingy where you could hear the termite..... I even had to do the termite puzzle all over again.

Keep your fingers crossed......I hope I'm still okay, here! LOL!LOL!LOL!

When reentering the swamp i can pick up the cotton again. I already have it but it's dirty because of the spiders residue after burning him. This also give me points again. Do i need this clean peace of cotton?
The list of bugs is growing fast. I think you shouldn't have released the game before proper testing it! It drives everyone crazy not to know what to do or what to expect.
The game surtainly has a great potention but, sorry, not in this shape. Not willing to give any hints isn't helping much either. It seems you don't want anybody to finish your game or for that matter to play it for fun. It's more like a warzone then a nice adventure this way. But....still loving it and when i am killed in the process of finishing it i can say..Bog did it! Hang him for this ;)

Cees, Yep I know, one of the main reasons for lack of testing is that my right hand has been pretty much dead for the last 5 months, so I couldn't test as much as I wanted because I had to rest it a lot. In fact I shouldn't have written this game at all but I had to do something to keep my sanity, most of the script was typed one handed which has upset my left hand a bit also. Though I admit, I should have tried a bit harder to get some beta-testers going. Secondly you are so wrong. I do want people to finish the game, that is why I don't give out hints. If the game I have created can only be completed by me telling people what to do, then the game, and I, have failed. I've tried to make everything logical and provide clues throughout and help as much as I can fixing bugs and keeping a constant vigil on when anything does go amiss, with a game of this complexity there are bounds to be some problems. Another reason I don't give hints is because it is very instructive to me as a game designer, to see what puzzles cause most problems and the different approaches people try to tackle them. This information is invaluable, as other forms of feedback, tend to just generalise the whole game and are thus pretty much useless. Also I really like the community aspect of everyone working together to beat it, I think if I just handed out the answers this spirit would die. Sorry to go on.
p.s. Anyway as a recompense I've added everyone to the credits in version 2.07 onwards, as a thank you :)

marlamoe

Okay, after starting over and playing all day, I am back to where I was and on my way to the lair to try again.  Wish me luck!!

Joyce

Good Luck marlamoe, you will be first one to finish!!! then you will know every bug to report to wretched LOL
I think I am giving up and maybe wait until somebody finishes it and wretched knows all the bugs and we get a good version because mine crashed on me today. I am afraid to download the latest version in case there are more bugs. Its a great game though just frustrating right now.

how do I transport the magma in the shell back to the house without going through the water?

Joyce:  I was ready to call it quits too, but glad I didn't.  Without us diehards, wretched would never know where the bugs are.

Joyce

Marlamoe I'm not positive but I think

I feel you were very harsh on Wretched.Ã,  Have you played any of his other games? Amazing games, every one of them and we all wait anxiously for more of them to come out.Ã,  Ã, He is one of the most talented, brilliant, complex game makers in this forum.Ã,  Yes, there are a lot of bugs in this game, but what a brilliant game, nevertheless.Ã,  Where else can you get a game like this for free???? And I love his concept of us as a community helping each other out.Ã,  That is what hints and tips is all about.Ã,  I have met and made many good friends here because of that concept.Ã,  Wretched made the game and took many months I am sure.Ã,  Should he now commit himself to babysitting us? He does have a life.Ã,  And now we also know the dedication of this person to continue something so complex with a hand that couldn't help him.Ã,  This is not someone to be told, why did you release a buggy game.Ã,  This is someone to be told "Thank you" for caring and sharing with us your talents.Ã,

Thank You Wretched and prayers in the healing of your hand.Ã,  You are a great person.

marlamoe

Rosie, I completely agree with everything you said.

Thank you Marlamoe

We need to respect and care for our writers in this forum for without them we do not have this sanctuary to come to.

And as Wretched knows and said, "There is a spirit in this community and we can't let this die."  Most of the time this forum becomes as important to us as the games.  We know we can come here and find an old friend to help us out.
