Thank you Marlamoe

We need to respect and care for our writers in this forum for without them we do not have this sanctuary to come to.

And as Wretched knows and said, "There is a spirit in this community and we can't let this die."Ã,  Most of the time this forum becomes as important to us as the games.Ã,  We know we can come here and find an old friend to help us out.

I totally agree with all of this. I don't know what age bracket most of youse are in, but in my age bracket (21-25)...well, this was the type of game I grew up with. When as a child, I was considered a prodigy for being able to USE a computer let alone have it be my sole source of entertainment. It was what made me want to BE a programmer. A story with rich, memorable characters, hand-drawn settings, and puzzles that would leave you stumped for days. Being brought up a Mac user, I miss the days of System 7. I use OS X for work and that's it, and I've come to hate it...so I converted to PC and pretty much never looked back. I remember going nuts that the non-workable Mac games worked terrific in DOS mode...then when I found the AGS community my spirits really soared. I saw I definitely wasn't the only one out there who not only cared about these old games but wanted to CONTINUE making them..."the spirit we cannot let die."  Wretched, I can especially relate on being a one-man (or in my case one-woman) developing team with no beta testers around!!! I've been trying to put a game together for the past year and keep hitting dead ends. No one to help me except confusing-as-hell GUI tutorials (except Sylpher's that I'm finding kinda useful.) But I know that alone or with some assistance, one day I WILL get it out and I hope I get as many fine people who'll enjoy it like this!

I grew up with the golden age of adventure gaming and sadly saw it crumble and grew to hate things like 3D and anything that required a videocard. I've played lots of AGS originals and AGS remakes of reeealll old-school games, and AGS parodies. But I have to be real honest here, not one of them has captured me like this game!!! Not since 1995 at least! (when Full Throttle came out. Though I'm not real fond of 3D, still, I cried when I found out FT 2 was cancelled mid-production. LucasArts is just lame now!) Everything from those hand-drawn backgrounds to the whimsical nature of the game to those tough puzzles that I ripped my hair out over then the easier ones that made me feel real accomplished over solving them without looking at the forum. The interface and just WAY of the game is unique from other classic point-and-click games, sometimes that WAY happens to be part of solving the puzzle.

So yes. Have great respect for the authors of these games-- ESPECIALLY the ones who had to get them done mostly on their own! :=

But on a hint-related topic...well, does anyone know what to do with that flying pig puzzle? I tried it a few times, catching the spotted one on purpose because that snake said he wanted Spotted Sausage...then how do you know which one to pick at the factory?
If you want to know the Bible's contents, just watch Lord of the Rings or listen to the last 8 Blind Guardian albums. It's pretty much the same thing.

marlamoe

nice post.  Now as for the pig puzzle
Spoiler
If the spotted pig is the first one you catch, it will be the first saugage package to come out of the factory.  If it is the second one you catch....second package.  Just keep track when you caught him and then pick that number package at the factory.

:D Don't get me wrong Rosie and fellow gamers. Yes i played a lot of other Games made on AGS. Also other by Wretched. I post most of the adventures on a forum here in Holland to let other people know there are beautiful games to play. I certainly do respect the makers/developers of this games! As i said,i love to play them.
I also do think some respect to the gamers by presenting a desent tested game is in place. I understand the lack of hints given by Wretched ;) I do understand know the lack of proper testing but it is still annoying.
I used the emoticons in my earlyer post to let people see not to take the comments to serious. So don,t please. I ment well! BTW..I,m 46 and well aware of the spitit that once lived among adventure gamers. And yes,I found it back. Here. That's why i'm still hanging around with all of you to beat the bugs and Bogs  ;D

Peter.
Spoiler
You have to enter the house from the roof. You can acces the upstairs by opening the window. You must use the feather on the melted part of the iglo right after you picked up the icicle. Then you go straight to the house.

I left my magma with the cold guy and now cannot get back to him because it is too dark and feather duster blows out going in?  Was this another irreversible mistake?

Also, like Peter, I cannot get the icicle in the house without it melting before I can do my task.  I am using the feather

Spoiler
are the flies all settled down on that meat? If so, can you think of another way to get over them besides walk?Ã,  How about that broom?

If the flies are buzzing all in the air, then you have to go downstairs first to that cold guy and get him warm before youÃ,  can do this...So I was told.... I did it the first way....

Spoiler
Walk down in the mountain because it is too dark...I read something about lighting a feather or something? But I cannot really go anywhere because I have the Magma...how do I light the downward path?

I cannot do the owl puzzle.  My eyes cannot follow him that quickly.  I have the stone tablet with dirt on it, but I am stuck.  Also, the little guy in the igloo still doesn't trust me after I gave him a snack.  What else do I have to do there?
