No,i haven't. Do you have the cleaning cloth that is out of reach on the gate? I think we will first have to pass the twin demons in the gassy pool located in the cave behind the dragonlair. I've loaded my bubble with beelzebub backwards but first have to make a peakhole in the fishbowl. That is why i need the cleaning cloth.

Strange i did many times when i did have the Broom and now i can get there

Beelzebub just was a trythingy. Forget it i think. I suspect since i don't have a goldfish with memory we do have to find a way to get the lava back to be able to melt the iglo to see the feasther inmprint there and can use it to transport the icicle to the house and enter the upstairs before the icicle melts.
I think we must have some light first i suppose.

The switch in the iglo is for the light thingy that appears when the lava, we don't have, has melted part of the iglo. You can then see this light and the feather inprint then. The switch is obviously operating this light.
And yes,i do also think the crystal has something to do with the light we are in need for.
The light on the iglo has no effect on the crystal. I know that from my "old"game.
Further more,the game seems to be very liniair. If you don't do things in the correct order it will just not happen when the time is not right for it.

I think since everyone has been walking in circles over this one element of the game, it may be time for wretched to give us a nudge in the right direction.  I am ready to put it aside and play something else.

you can't let it beat you now guys, you have come so far especially after downloading the latest version and starting over. I was one of the ones who left my magma down there too (playing an older version though) and somehow I managed to get it back again, I don't know if I went back to a saved game or not though, but also I am sure there was a few times I came down that mountain and my torch didn't blow out. But who knows LOL. I did try a few things after reading your hints, the one about having the pea shooter and going to the man at the gate, my problem was the man never came back again. He left when I gave him the eye that I had won in a game in the dragons lair with the jewels. I can still smudge the gate and get a point. I tried shooting the eye of the chicken on the gate and it says "I can't do that with him so close (even though there is nobody there lol) I could also touch the gate and a voice says Oy don't do that.
I can't leave a trail of nuts on the branch or the scenes from the little bug to the gate.
So I am watching you guys make progress so don't give up and then you can write a walkthrough for us people whose brains have gone to mush LOL
Oh Marlamoe I do remember when I was playing I talked to the bubble as well as taking it. You need to know the word to put in and then when you go through the spinning thing the word ends up backwards. I don't know the word though LOL

That's a clue! I didnt know to go in the swirley thing to get the word backwards. I typed it all in backwards. But...i don,t know the right word either Ã, :'(
I'll try beelzebub again i think.
I,m sorry to hear your stuck in the old version as marlemoe and i did. Frustrating is the right word i think.

Having read all the comments so far, I have downloaded the latest version and come back to where you all are.

I think the main point is that there has to be another light source. If the magma cannot be reclaimed without the burning duster then there has to be another source of ligt. Before I started again I did not realise that a major bug had appeared (where the eye jewel could be obtained) and assumed that if you travelled with the faming duster to the lair you could then access the mountain again and get the magma. Thus The fish memory etc cannot be obtained and until it you can get it you cannot proceed

I have no light source and the lava down at the cold guy. Didn't finish the chicken race and resorted to a save game without chicken race.

There a too many misleading paths and dead ends in this otherwise nice game. And now that I look at the forums, it seems that everybody is stuck. I downloaded the latest version today and I will give it one more try. But if I end up in more dead ends, I will just wipe the thing from my harddisk.
