Ben Jordan 3 DARK ROOM HELP

Hi there

I believe I'm on Day 3 of this adventure.  I have just been shot with a sleeping dart and woke up tied up in a dark room.  I managed to get free and only have the rope in my inventory.  I have spied on the conversation by the fireplace, but apart from look at a hook on the ceiling and look through the hole and try to call out or open the door......there's nothing I can do & I cannot interact with anything, the rope also does not interact with anything.

The policaman is pacing up and down in a room above me, making the floorboards squeak.  Help I'm really stuck here.

I used the rope on the hook and pull on it but it just says there is a board not attached well! But how to remove it!
Moreover when I look to the hole, I see no conversation and also no noise on the boards.

when you are free from the rope, you then use hand icon through the hole in wall. After the cut scene you hear footsteps in room above, then ross rope up to hook, and then the floorboards above squeak, thats when you quickly pull on the rope. Did you just look through the hole or did you use hand icon? maybe thats your problem, I'm not sure.

I was using the hand on the hole but I was next to it and then I was touching the beam of light and not the hole...[/hide/
