Merlin 3 help

i got stuck on Merlin 3 but i know i need to create a translator spell and open the locked door with a "well made key"

My Inventory:
Bread
Knife
Wax
Handkerchief
Bowl
Tar

i also can't find any berries on Garden Island

i know i'll feel very stupid if the answer is really obvious
it happened when i was playing another AGS game

Umm.. it's been a while since i did that, but if i can remember, you have to find a key at the bottom of the well on garden island, and that unlocks the door, and the berries are behind it
