Kings Quest 2 VGA-the duckling

I have just started KIngs Quest 2 and I already have trouble. I can't
seem to catch the dumb duck in the net. Do I stand in the water or on the bank? It tells me not to throw the net in the water. I have everything
else I need up to this point. I have talked to the little girl. Help! Thanks :

Maybe your aim is just off

It shouldn't be very difficult. Just click the net on the duckling. As far as I recall, it doesn't matter where you stand. There is, I believe, a white hotspot on the object cursor (the net) to show which part you should click on the duckling.
