I've read that  there is a nitelite in the aircar after it crashes, but I can't find it.

You only come back to the city with the nite lite if you choose to play the forest maze and also play the Night Chicken arcade. Otherwise, it gets lost in the vast wilderness of the BGCZ.

You don't absolutely need it later in the series. An alternative light source will be provided if you don't have the nite lite.

Yeah, because of the campaign codes I'm using this time, I'm trying to make the world "breathe" more. So as the series goes on, lots of little side quests become available (or are locked out) depending on what you did in earlier games. Hopefully, it will add some replay value down the road.
