This game drives me mad! I don't lack for fantasy but I simply have no idea what to do at the Jaro Motor Inn...I threw the rag in the hole on the door and "played" with the air control center, tried every variations but it had no effect...so somebody S.O.S, please!!

Talk to the guard and use the rag on him first, then throw it into the hole at the door to the left. For the vent controls, look at the first page of this thread, Iv4n explain how you have to set the switches.

you have to set the ventilation system. The air have to flow as the clock direction. and have to adjust the vents.

If you want to see the frequency go in the room before you exit the chamber (desert opening). there is a folder that contains a converasions (in the right part of the screen on something like sitting place near the cells). there is a recorded conversation between you and the captain Hughatha (as i remember 3rd one). there you can see the Frequency.

In DEMO you have to get rid of the robot. It's only 1 pizzle.

Go to the panel that controls the platforms on the station, and set it to Extra High and MGN (Magnetic). Then go in the room with the sensor platform (the room infront the capatian quarter. The robot will follow you and when he step on the platform, the extra high magnetic field will disarrange the robot. But this is the end of demo.

Am I missing something, in Cosmos Quest 1 I just can't get the space shuttle to take off for me, even though I cooled the engine but whenever I click on it my character go towards it to open the hood.

Click on the right side of the shuttle, not the center or left.

Hi, I am new to adventure gaming but enjoying it so far, though I am having a bit of trouble figuring out what you're supposed to do as there doesn't seem to be any kind of storyline to direct you along... But through bumbling along and this forum I have got to the Jaro Inn. I have talked to the guard, and

Also, is there any way people can title their posts or the moderator add titles or something, coz many are just "help" etc and I've read many tips that will spoil future puzzles just to find the ones that were relevant to my problem... May not be possible but just a thought...

Go to guard. Give him the oil rag (you realise that the guard has an alergy from the oil). Then go left with the iron door. There is hole on the upper left corner of the door. Throw the rag in the hole. Then go to the right side of the building (Jaro Inn) - the air control room. You have to adjust the air system of the Jaro inn. Open O2 vents. Close all other vents exept the one that is near the guard. Then set the direction of the air to flow toward the guard vent. Now go to the guard. He is different now. The allergy hits him. Talk with him - he will let you pass.

  I have tried the suggestions that a couple of people have PM'd to me, but I'm still having issues...

I have used the rag on the guard, but he just goes "ahhhh, whinge whinge" and doesn't move or anything. I don't have a walk option if I cycle through my actions, so I can't go left to this mysterious door, and the only other option i have is to click the button to return outside... And there i still have the issue that i can't reach the hole to put the rag in (if indeed it is the right hole...)
