i'm stuck at the same place. i think it has someting to do with the mask code when you look at the screen and the numbers on the back of your id?

Yeah, I've tryed several combinations from the id card, but I get bored. I've noticed some similar number combinations though. The numbers 735454456 are 4 times repeated. The combination 584735454456343476767 3 times. But that doesn't help. More probably it's a combination on the display screen, but I've tryed several ones and no effect. So I'm gonna compare them to see if I'm gonna find some similarities. But I'm definetly not gonna try every one combination duh... This part sux, because there isn't a single hint there...

Well, there is a hint - the "mask". Beats me how the heck that features into it, but I'm sure it's the key.

I'm fairly sure that each pair in the mask indicates a "coordinate" in the digits on the back of your ID. The first number in the tuple indicates the column and the second one the row (see, there are only six rows). However, I haven't been able to try this out, as I also haven't managed to get the starting lever unstuck.

i did exactly what you said.

1st number was the column, 2nd the row. so, |22:5| means you have to go down to row 5, and count all the way accross to the 22nd number.

I still haven't solved it (and I'm getting frustrated), but I have noticed the following:

The guard hates oil or its smell. Just show him the oily rag to see.

You can throw the oily rag inside the complex through a gap in the staff entrance.

I presume you can vent the oil and scare the guard away or something along those lines, but I'm already tired of trying different combinations to no avail.

Rotate the air circulation from left to the right. Turn on both oxygen tanks. Turn on the bottom-right vent. The other vents must be closed. Activate the system and talk to the guard.

Argh... stuck again.

Now I'm at the bar. I checked the motel's reception, but I can't get past the lady. I have an egg, the knife, the ID card, the plant's shell, and the business card.
It's seems I've exhausted all dialog options, and nobody wants anything from me. I've also read the expired certificate on the wall, but that hasn't opened any leads so far.

I presume I'm missing out some area. Any hints?

Try to combine the egg with the certificate on the wall. And then combine it with the business card. After that you can pass through the reception girl.
