you left inside ground area, go outsite and you will find it in area (door) beside wine crate.
Talk to bar lady, say use every dialog and eventuly the game will ask you sleep in your room. don't be afraid to walk everywhere.
At present there is a bug:
When pressing Load game and nothing is being saved, then a bug message appear.
What is about x-rays thing, the game says move cursor right to left quickly.
Although, I'm moving cursor as quickly as I can back and forth, I still cannot see the effects of that while moving cursor on blotter as games says. This might a bug
I cant make the x-ray vision thing work either. Could use some help with that.
Thanks for the bugs. The final build should be up in Completed Games later today, the X-Ray ability has been made much easier to activate, some bugs and spelling mistakes corrected, and more dialogs and endings. It's impossible to get full testing and polish when you've got a MAGS deadline looming.

I've released a final version of this game on completed games forum. I recommend you download the new version and start over, before you get too far into the old one. The X-Ray stuff is much easier now.
Anyone give me a little hint at what to do with the rusty key. Also I have a sheet and it said something glittered - but can't find out how to get what ever it is (perhaps ring)

maybe its me.....I just downloaded the game again with the fixes and I still cant get past the bar scene. Going right and that is all there is there. I cant find my room. I see stairs in the hallway, but cannot go up them. I go to the left and see a pink chair. Rain scene and brick wall scene also. Also in front of building is a bush, I go into it but there is nothing there. I only have magazine and room key....What am I doing wrong?????

Just to confirm, you have interacted with the blotter first to enter the blotter pad screen?
To get X-Ray vision, make sure you have the 'LOOK' cursor. Then shake the mouse very quickly horizontally. You only need small mouse movements. Think frequency, not vigour. The power increases with time.
I think I might add a sort of guage to provide some visual feed back on this, as it's causing a few problems.

I am able to open the office with any item in my inventory, so that is obviously a bug. Otherwise great game so far, but pretty difficult

Drove to the stone tower thing and read the plaque. Entered the tower and a few seconds later: bang. Game over. Couldn't understand what triggered it, though.

Got the key to room 203, went to 2nd floor, talked to the receptionist. THEN I drove there. ;)
I did found a BUG, though:
When you look at the hanger with the red dress with the key, the game aborts.
Sorry Stephano, but you did about 1/8th of the whole thing! This is quite a big game. Thanks for the bugs though.

Yes, I manage to solve x-rays on blotter.
However, if some key is in red coat and we use x-ray thing here, dialog message never comes in which I have restart this.
I might have to play another game.
Wretched, Love this game so far.....But when I am in the bar or the office in front of the computer, I find it hard to leave that room, there is no walk icon or whatever is needed, So I use the hand icon and tap around and around until it finally lets me out.
Maybe this could be fixed???

It is in the manual,but noone reads them I know. The hotspot to exit ALL such screens is the center of the bottom of the screen. I tried a few ways to show this but they just looked wrong on screen and disturbed the immersion factor, so I left them out.

You can use your x-ray vision to see the girls nipples... have you noticed that? Sometimes you can find stuff too. REmember x-ray only works through fabrics.

Arrrrgh! Never been stuck for so long in no other adventure game in my whole life.
I'm brainstorming suspicious things that I think might help other people think:

- hole in the stair railing... seems important, but can't figure out, what is important for.
- Wardrobe doors in bedroom 203: I've tried every possible combination of drawers/doors both in opened and closed position. No luck. Then I've tried to sychronize the two doors that reopen, sine the one on the left reopens faster than the right one. No luck. I've tried sychronization and closing sticky in the larger compartment. Though to do and... no luck.
- The floor in the attick. My english is a little crappy, but when you "use" it, there's a "hint" dialogue that goes like: "this floor is going to be floor for a long time". Uh??
- cricket hoop: I'm convinced I must take it to use along with the dirty sheet from the loundry in the attic window. Maybe Sticky shoud just go ninja on her and take the damn thing. ;D
- Receptionist dialogue about key to room 201: Must find a plausible excuse, so I can have the key.
If I remember something else I'll post it.

And thanks, there was a line of code missing in the girl on swing dialog, nothing of immportance.
Generally I'm happy to help with problems that I know have been solved, but I'd prefer the game to be completed without my handing out solutions. Sorry if this is frustrating but it is very valuable feedback to learn which bits are too hard or badly designed so that I can improve in future.

With regards to stealing the cigarettes-

You're going to need the umbrella to keep from getting wet. It's in the attic, so you're going to need access to the second floor. I think the rusty may have something to do with one of the rooms on the second floor. Take stefano's advice- compare the picture in the magazine to your own room- can you spot the difference? YOu'll have access to the second floor.
By the way, I think I found a bug:

After you give the girl in 102 back her engagement ring and she leaves to tell Sandrianne, if you look at the blotter on the nightstand and then exit the view, the girl is back on the ned and the dialoque is back to before you found/gave her the ring.

You have to give the girl in room 102 back her ring. then, walk on down to the croquet place. The girl there will be gone, and the croquet hoop is there for the taking.

getting the ring means using something from the office-hold off on that until you've found the office key. I had to start over due to asking the girl on the chair for a light anyways, and I bypassed that part for now.[\hide]

...spider: remember the dialogue with the bartender girl? She's afraid of spiders. She droped a bottle of expensive wine, because of this phobia.
Where in the game you have spider webs? Maybe if you try simulating a struggling fly close to it's web, you could get it's attention.
The spider is the key for everithing I did. If you get stuck again, I'll help.

I can't get the spider to come out... am I correct in assuming you use the vibrating carrot on the webs to similate a fly? And maybe stick the cup on the end of the tube to catch the spider? What am I missing?

you have to tap on the objects on the shelf in the correct order, to get the spider trapped. It will desapear under the tube once. It's normal. Keep tapping.
The glass will be used to trap the spider when you get everything right.

Good news. A new version is out (v1.04), with some major bug fixes. There were a couple of dead-end scenarios late in the game.
Bad new. It's another download and restart.
Good news. I've put a new puzzle with a couple of new inventory items, into the game to tie in the 3 unused rooms. (ok, this might be bad news to some ;) ).
It's still quite possible to complete the game with the old versions, however you may not be able to get the best ending. And I do really appreciate your patience with me over these bugs. Pioneering new trails is always a risky business.

when he takes off, you have to click the slower carrot vibration on the upper right cobweb between the box and pipe..then click th correct box to get him to move up the pipe ..just make sure glass isnt over pipe yet!! ;D

Dowload the newest version of the game. This ending bug is already fixed.

If you can see the spider already, you don't have to use the carrot on it anymore. Use the 'hand' cursor on the box, shelf, tube, etc. The spider should move.
Second speed: the carrot is, in fact, a dildo! If you use the 'look' cursor on it, you'll see it start vibrating in too shaky speeds.
2nd floor: the apening doors are important on the newest version of the game. Download it and double your fun. Weeeee! There're some hints about the sprinkler and smoke detector on previous threads.
Made some more progress. When you get these things right, come back if you want more hints.
This game is fuuuuuun. Harder than any other one I've played before. It's even harder than "Where's M' Hat Ma".

I give up. Just spent the last hour trying to catch that darn spider. I cant do it. Almost got him, but after an hour almost doesnt cut it. He came out by that spiderweb in the righthand corner on top and then when I tried to catch him. he disappeared. Used carrot, tapped, NOthing.

Have you released spider yet? Release him somewhere that is related to what it served in the bar...... Then a little later where you released him will no longer be there. Return to bar and talk with "ladies" there.

When you get the spider thing right, it should't be a problem to get into the wine cellar. Follow Cittymom's intructrions...
On the new version, you can lite the cigarrette in the same place you did before, but now you'll have to do something yuckie first. Read my previous posts for hints.

This x-ray vision is not good, neither for my computer mouse, nor for my arthritis. I finally could see some shadows on the ink blot. Of course, I can't read them. Other items with fabrics: The eye cursor becomes bigger, my joints hurt, but that's it.
Apart from x-ray vision, a nice game. I would like to play through the whole game...

One thing is that I have gotten the "creature" between the cliffs to come out part way.....by placing something on the ground. But that is as far as I can get him to come out.

This croquet hoop you can't get while the girl playing croquet is still there. The girl will not leave unless you have found and returned the engagement ring to the girl in room 102, and you're not supposed to find the ring until after you have gotted the office room key as one of the items you will need to find the ring is in the office.

For getting the crown, it is two stepped. Hit the crown with something and then pick it up with something. As for the cavern, there are 3 more other monsters (besides snake)to defeat. PRE-plan by using that hole in ground. Each monster needs a different item to defeat it. You have used them before for other tasks.

That is where I think I messed up getting the best ending....not sure, though. I wound up with 8 treasures plus gem. I did give umbrella man a treasure because I did not have or found anything else that worked. As soon as I get a new supply of Excedrin, I will try again! Maybe try to have something else left in my inventory to give umbrella man
By the way, aren't those monsters very familiar!!

I used the thing that looked like a snake and that worked, only to get killed by the next monster, I am assuming that I need to kill him with a stone and the next one probably with fire. Have no idea where the fire is.This is driving me crazy lol. I have put a stone and a thorn down the hole but it won't let me pick them up so how the heck do you keep them in inventory if you are only allowed 4 things. Do you try to kill snake before picking up treasure? I am completely lost.

get the key from the red coat? I can see it with x-ray vision & feel but I can't get it
while wondering around in confusion over trying to get thrown in the electric cage thing, I stumbled on a another bug:

I have already gotten the office key and all but if I look at the red coat again, Cacoe says that there is a key sewn in the lining and he can't get it. Also, if I xray it, I can see the key. However, I already have it in my inventory. ??? Also, when you walk towards the river, you have to go to the water and then exit out of the screen before the girl shows up on the swing.

I was thrown in behind the wire gate and pulled switch. Is there another ending besides "Ashes to Ashes" ? Is this an ending that Slug Princess produces? I replayed Slug Princess before and got a different and better ending there.... still not all treasures

Thats is the third best ending of 4. Slug princess(all treasures) is only needed for the very best ending.

I can't kill the snake..................I have had in my possession at some time or other the berry, reed with the thorn tied on, stone, thread, thorn, and treasures...........Have I got to find something else to kill him with?
BTW - I can't make out anything clear on the tapestry will it become clearer later on or should I be able to see it when I get crown?

how to kill the snake has been answered because I asked the same question, from the hint that Mags gave me I figured out you kill him with the thread. I have also figured out how to kill the next monster that pops up (stone) but can't figure the third one, it said in the book in the princes room fight fire with fire so I am assuming I need fire but can't figure that one out at all. I can't understand the tapestry either If you get past the 3 monsters let me know how you do it.

No that's a bug, thanks. I think you should go back to a save game if you can, although, theoretically, you can work around it, I can't guarentee there will be no negative implications.

I have got out of the cave with silver, gold and gem. What do you give the umbrella man without having to part with one of these items. I got out of cave keeping the reed but he won't take that, also got out of cave without the reed and got another thorn, naturally he won't take that either. I think a thorn is valuable!! but I guess he doesn't lol. Also tried using reed to get through the pond that didn't work either.

I am trying to determine if I have reached what you mean for best ending. I did manage to replay Slug Princess and gave all the 9 treasures and gem to king. I proceeded with Crave and at the ending that I reached, I learned about what should not be consumed by certain people. Is this it? .. or one of better endings?

you need the rusty key from the office- get the office key first. find out how to make the wardrobe airtight. smoke on fire alarms will activate the sprinkler right? An airtight wardrobe is perfect for concentrating smoke.

you should already know the office key is in the red coat right? xray it to see it...cutting through the coat isn't an option-maybe melt it? You already have the item necessary to do it...just light it.

you're going to need access to the basement and that means catching the spider-check the spider spoiler first. After you have access to the basement, you see a fly zapper on the wall next to the wine rack-hmm.... check in the bushes for a fly-and pay attention to what Cacoe says when he is on the second floor for a way to make the fly stick to the cigarette...

you need to use something on the lower left hand spider web in the shed. something that vibrates. Once you see it, knock on the appropriate objects to get it into the tube. then capture it with the glass. Remember what the bartender said about hating spiders? Put the spider in the wine crate. Now head inside, and go back out to see the crate is gone. now go back to the bar and note the girl's glass is empty offer to buy her a drink. voila. basement access.

This is a pretty addictive game, I've just posted the letter and got the key to room 203 but can someone tell me where to find the screwdriver? I've read it's by the wine crate but have no idea where that is either!

Lilly: step on the first lilly, than throw the rock on the second.
Ring: use banana peel on the ground of "G" floor. Use the hand cursor in the stair rail on second floor.
Finish: there are 4 endings to the game. If you want to get the best, you must finish Slug Princess the best way.

I want to know what the heck to give umbrella man instead of a treasure. I have got out of cave with the reed and tried using that on pond, also got out without reed and picked up thorn but that didn't do me any good. I did try to get a intermediate deal with the umbrella salesalien. I've given him: thorn, reed with thorn, reed, rock. Sex maybe? Perhaps he likes slugs. ;D Couldn't give him the berry and the thread, as I need to carry them with me (berry to feed the monster, thread because can't be thrown into the hole). Couldn't make the monster move his butt for nothing else than a juicy berry.
My best shot is that the berry will do as valuable item, for the alien. But what do I have to feed the monster?
Am I, at least, in the right path?

I tried throwing two berries down the hole thinking I would try a berry on umbrella man, then picked another one up to feed the monster at the bridge, but of course when I get down in the cave there is only 1 berry there which I need to kill the last monster. My brain is fried!! and I haven't even played Crave yet, thought I would try Slug Princess first. If I am so stuck in this one, I am going to be completely lost in Crave lol

Have you gone from the attic down into a room where you can pick up a film reel? If you have, then look at it in your inventory. It will give information that will give you hints how to adjust the controls in that room in the basement. Then return back to 103 and see what has happened.

Look at mirror, talk to laundry lid, pixel hunt in laundry bin and, yes, there is a way to 'undress' the hitch hiker, and of course XRay works on the final completion screen.

There is a bug where the prince doesn't reset to start pos after finding him once, you will have to work around that with old saves, this might be causing your treasure deficit. The ruby ring is worth 40, sure you had it?

When I speak with Fenelda, I can only accept her offer. If I say "this is not the last of it", nothing happens. Inventory items do not work on her. When I read the magazine, she greets me again, then same dialog. IfI accept, the game restarts, but everything is in place already.

I can only get up to 1980 points with 8 treasures plus gem. I seem to be missing a treasure. Anyone know which one I could missing? I've searched everywhere. I've given the salesman the right treasure already and made use of the extra place by the castle.

Yes, the doll is on the vacuum cleaner, I fixed the vacuum cleaner, and the button is stuck in the on-position...
but when I switch off the power, I can only get the ashes to ashes ending (as far as I could find out... which is probably not enough)

Slug princess: i have 71 points, thorn, berry, stone. How do you get lily pads to move? I can't see them from the fallen tree, and nothing happens when I click on them. Crave is good, but commands are kinda illogical. Is driving me insane.
And, in room with sprinkler, which I can jump up and see, how do I use the cigarette on it. There's a clock running when I jump up there, so how am I supposed to get a cigarette near it?

Everyone keeps talking about the doll, but I don't have that. The vacuum is on though. I think there must be a bug and I shouldn't be locked up yet.

about the slot thing, i don't think you need to start over, just go to the game folder, move some of the newer saved games out of the folder, then try loading again
p.s. click the "date modified" column, and it'll list the dates in order, then delete or move away the newer saved game files

I have a new problem.........don't know if anyone else has experienced this........I downloaded the game again because there were too many bugs in the first download and now after playing it for a couple of days, it will only allow me 19 saves.
So when I go back into it, I am way back from where I ended the game........I tried replacing the saves I already have, but there is no option for it.
Please help......... I was getting so far along and now I am back to a place that I did already over and over again.
You should be able to save over previous saves, I can. I think sunshinegold had a similar problem though but don't know if she fixed it. You can always delete old saves directly from the games folder (agssave.000 etc.). If you need to see the save name you can view the save files in word pad and look at the text immediatly after 'Adventure Game Studio saved game' near the start of the file. Do you have user permissions setup so you can't overwrite files or something?

I got stuck when I was doing some saves trying to get the spider and it stuck on got spider and never let me advance beyond that with any more saves. I continued playing the game and didnt realize that my further saves werent registering until I went into the game again and tried to load to where I had left off and only saw "Got spider".
OK..... went and deleted files and YES,,,,,,, I am now where I left the game instead of all the way back. So I didnt lose anything.

I finally finished the Slug princess with the best ending in the Crave game. But the ending just sits there. The one with the credits. When I click the hand outside of the computer screen, Sticky comes on and says goodbye and waves and the then Crave game gets shut down. Do i need to wait longer at the ending part? I have it saved there at the ending.

Hi, I've just played through the game and think you have found a bug. The 'Quit' option doesn't work within the Slug Princess, but the game remembers it, (even in save games), so as soon as you leave the Slug Princess the 'Quit' command gets executed, which could be a long time after you clicked it. I'll fix it but I'm afraid there is no soloution for you other than to go back to a save before you tried to use the 'Quit' or restart, sorry.
Hey. I went back to my save when i was sitting at the computer. I went through slug princess in 5 minutes because i remembered how i solved it. I must have tried to quit before when i was playing it. Funny how we find bugs when trying silly stuff. Going back to the old save was a good idea. It worked fine so now i got that extra item for solving slug princess. :) Thanks for the help!

This game is so great......However, I came across another problem. When I use the hand icon to set the temp in room 103, I cannot move the hand anymore. It gets stuck on the level. I can only move it up also. Am I doing something wrong????

So I've clicked on everything in the Slug Princess game. I can get nine treasures, including the gem w/ the statue, ring, two ingots, two coins, wing pendant thing, and crown. I tried all different endings. Played slug and have the gem in Crave but dont know what to do with it. The ending in the managers office, didn't leave me any option to get out of the room, I had to agree to be with her and it ended the game. What did I do wrong? Is there another choice? Also put doll on vacumn, but didnt get to blow it up, couldnt figure that out. And I never went behind that gate in basement room. Im still trying, but cant figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

That sure was a hard game, I had played Slug Princess on its own so when I had to play it in Crave at least I knew what to do there. I would never have gotten through Crave without all these hints. You sure have some imagination Wretched. But happy to say I completed it with the best ending!! It sure kept me busy for a while lol.

now that you have the cigarette, you have to find a way to lite it right????? Well go outside the front door and look with those xray eyes in the shrub.. Hope you find something. But this is only one of the three things you will need to lite that cigarette. You will find one other thing on the 2nd floor and the other will be in the basement behind those closed doors.
Remember though, the cigarette can be used for another thing in this game, something you are looking for......

How do you make the cupboards air tight? (I noticed there is a lock midway down the doors but the rusty key will not work on it.

did you jump on the bed yet?>>>the rusty key will work on the doors..... shut the two doors first, and lock them with that key, they go into the larger door and shut it. put the cigarette on that door you just went into......It will cause lots of smoke and the fire sprinkler will go off.
You need to find the key yet to get into the office....Or did you use the cigarette yet to find that key.....Remember fire can melt things to get at them.... Have you been near the office yet? Have you really looked at that red coat hanging there>>>?
What you need to find the thing that will allow you to find the ring is in the office.

There are lots of hints here in this forum to questions you are asking. Please go to page one and select all to see the answers to questions other people have asked.
also to answer your immediate question:

fly and cigarette: Have you gotten into that locked room yet in the basement next to the laundry bin? That is where you will need something to lite your cigarette along with something you will find on the floor of the 2nd floor.
Ring: Have you found the office key yet? You will find something there that will enable you to find the ring
Hoop: You will not get this until you find the ring and give it back to the girl who lost it. She will be so excited that she will run to the girl playing croquet and then she will be gone from there and you can get the hoop. But you have to do something with the hoop after that to make it usable.
Hope this helps you out. It is a great game. Just look for the answers in this forum. We have all asked the same ones you are asking also.

Tried the carrot off and on both speeds on all three webs,
hitting al the boxes, giving the spider a fly or not,
reloading and replaying the game. Nothing happens.

I know what you are going thru. This part drove me crazy until someone on this forum told me to do lots of saves while doing this. No, you don't have to give the spider a bug. You just have to do what you are doing.......
High speed on the web until the spider comes out.
tap the boxes and the shelf randomly, when you finally see the spider moving, put the carrot on slower speed and go to that top right hand web near the top of the tube and he should appear there. then tap again on the tube, and make sure you put something on the bottom of that tube to catch him. Lots of luck, It took me so long also........I almost gave up at this point.

Have you tried getting the gem without using the reed? To go underwater, use a reed (without the thorn attached) on the small lily pad. Also the purple monster can be useful for getting rid of unwanted inventory items.

You are missing the Ruby ring. If you look carefully at the berries, some of them are slightly different to the others.

Even though I think I have all the pieces, (10) I'm still short about 20 points and can't win the game. I gave the umbrella to the dark prince and he gave me the silver coin which I gave to the king. The dark prince goes off with the witch but I am still a slug. (sob, sob,) What do I do? I have the statue, gold, silver coin, ruby ring, gold, silver bars, emerald, silver wings, gem, crown. I can't think of what you have missed, there are 9 treasures and 1 gem and it looks like you have everything.You did give all the treasures to the king and the gem last? If you are only missing 20 points maybe Wretched will be able to figure it out

perhaps you gave something of value to the alien in exchange of an umbrella? Give a silver coin, so you will lose only 1 point. If you do this right, the sign in front of the castle will vanish and you have access to another area. You have a chance to get another silver coin.

I completed the slug game with 2000 points, got the gem, blown up the hotel, spoken to Fenelda in folly but can't do anything else but just walk out and it says it could all have been so different. Have I missed something?

Talk to Fenelda as much as you can, use your xray vision on her, then talk more until you get the option of saying "I need to think some more" . After that you can say you know her, use xray on her again. You will get her really angry and you end up behind bars. Then if you do things correctly there you should end up back at the Folly and this is where you need the gem that you won from slug princess.Ã, You use the gem on the dark area at the back

You need to use your xray vision on the letter to get another, then you can search the tree hole etc. Also the spider web in in the Shed, go left from reception, left past stairwell, through the backdoor and into the shed.

I have searched all 8 places mentioned in a previous post , again and again , but the key is nowhere to be found . I'm going insane! What have i done wrong? I got : key-101, key-B , magazine , dirty sheet , cup , letter , wine , fly , pin , umbrella , ciggarete , carrot . I searched after giving the letter to receptionist or the wine to barmaid but nothing...Talked to all girls , drove to folly , used screwdriver on vacum . I'm having a problem completing Slug Princess.
I can carry only 4 items concurrently.
I need to enter the hole (where the monsters and gem are) with:
1. the handerchief (against the gas);
2. a thread (against the snake);
3. the "axe" (to dig the gem);
4. the silver coin (to give the unmbrella-man).
I must carry the above with me, because I can't drop them into the hole.
HOWEVER, I must also carry a tomatoe (that is, the red fruit - I don't remmemeber what's it called) in order to lure the pink creature from under the bridge.
But... these are already FIVE items, and I can only carry FOUR!
What am I to do?

The axe is not essential to getting the gem. You can 'lose' it by feeding it to the purple monster.

This is the most interesting AGS game I've ever played, because the story was special (sex is always a winning formula ;-).
But the game was way too difficult! I didn't enjoy it, because I couldn't solve the puzzles myself. I had to read this thread -- and nevertheless it was difficult.

You build an axe by combining a thorn with a reed while also holding a thread. The Thread is in one of the banners in the throne room, thorn in forest bushes, reed in middle of pond, you need to use stones to move the lily pads so you can reach reeds via the log.
Use the axe to get the hankerchief then you can 'fly' from the top of the tree to various places, you need a berry to lure the purple monster out so you can enter the cave.

The rusty key and banana are both in the office. You need the key form the coat in the hallway before you can get in. Though how to get that is 50% of the entire game. I suggest you work with what you have rather than jumping the gun by reading hints and not having things that appear quite late in the game. Search for hints relative to the problem you are currently stuck on,

You don't need to make a fire, it's clue on how to fight the monsters, and not literal. Get the crown by throwing a stone at the crown, then use reed with thorn to grab crown.

yes, it's the monster after the snake (huge and grey, looks like his made of stone (i'll try using a stone now), i use a thorn on him and all i get is "that's no good"....and i've tried using the thorn in all his body

I have the carrot at full speed - click on bottom left web - spider comes out - tap the table - spider goes on the box - tap the box - spider goes by next box - tap the tube - spider goes under tube - then I turn the carrot onto slow speed - and I've tried clicking on the top right web (by the tube) about 100 times but he says how long should he do this for... and stops! What am I doing wrong???

Apart from the overall fun I am having with this game, I also had some difficulties most of which I could overcome with the help in this thread (thanks to you all).
However, I am currently standing in front of the wardrobe ...

2) noticed the small locks at the wardrobe's doors
3) have the lit cigarette with me
I tried and tried, read this topic over and over - but I still don't have a clue how to make the wardrobe more airtight. How do I use the locks, it seems using the hand icon on the doors only opens/closes them.

A) when u talk about the snake, is it the purple thing after the lily pads? and if so, I have many problems
1) it doesn't move, even with berries (it eats them, that's it)
2) when I go above it, I can not interract with it
3) when I'm up those cliffs above it, I can not go down anymore and I have to restart from a previous save
B) I can not get IN the hole : I put things in it but after that, nothing
C) where is the salesman for the umbrella?

i can't find the key to 203, i've read the posts, and they don't help, i think it's in the area right before the river, with the broken pot, and i've checked all the hotspots i've found numerous times. i found 8, and i've clicked EVERYWHERE in that scene and can't find anymore. i found the pot, two leaves, the grass, the rock, the ground, the brick and the tree. what am i missing?

I also can't get the key to 203, even though I checked all 8 (?)hotspots. What the heck am I missing?

Slug princess help:
Where on earth is the string/thread? I swear I've clicked on everything (right and left)
How do I get onto the cliff? I can see it from the tree and from where the purple monster is.
How do I get into the cave? I can drop things into it but not myself.
What's with the big rock with a hole at the top? I've tried using everything in my inventory with it (thorn, reed, ruby, gold coin, silver brooch, stone, berry). I haven't picked up the silver coin because I'm saving it for my meeting with the umbrella salesman. Where is he anyway?
Can please somebody tell me where I can find the Slug princess game? Tried the computer but he keeps on typing without something happening. I've done it all; I have the tape, I put the doll on vacuum, but reading your comments made me fear that if I visit Fenalda now there will be no slug game. So what do I do??

I 've played it twice but I cannot figure out how to find the sub adventure the Slug Princess into Crave. Maybe in the room with the computer?
Where? When? before talk with Fedora? I suppose because in hits I have read that people is playing both games and if you finish Slug Princess got a better end in Crave.
Sometime ago I played Slug Princess, very nice, now I wanted to play it with Crave.

Hiya, I just downloaded this fine, if extremly challenging game yesterday, and am stuck. I've just set off the smoke alarm, and i don't know what to do next. I've done the ring thing, but what about this hook...

the hook is used on the shelf by the window in the attic. The attic is behind the green drape on 2nd floor. To open drape use x-ray eyes to see attic behind drape. Hook is also used with sheet which you get from the dumpster downstairs. To get the sheet you need the banana peel from the office trash bin which you put on the floor next to the dumpster, then go to second floor and slide down railing. To get office key you need to use lit cigarette on the read coat near the office door. X-ray eyes used on red coat will tell you there's a key there.

The doll is in room 103. After you set off the alarm upstairs, you need to go into the basement and set the dial/panel thing correctly. The clue to setting the dial can be found by looking at the film reel you pick up in room 201, the room you use the sheet and hook to get to. You may need to use the look icon on the reel to allow you to use the dial/panel.

The Slug Princess game is in Crave. It's on the computer in the office. To play you need to use the keyboard then look at the monitor, and it takes a looooong time to load. If you win it you get something that you can use which changes the ending.
Well that was a good game. It took me 4 days and I needed a lot of hints to get all 4 endings. Two thumbs up

I am stuck inside the underground cave. killed all the monsters. how do I get out. I put in a rock, berry, thorn and carried a berry, the hook and reed thing, and the thread with me. Is this all I need or should I have done something different? How do I get out of the cave?
By the way, I have finally played all of Wretched's games (this being the last one) and I must say, WOW! You are one creative and talented person.

I am trying to figure out the best item to trade with the umbrella guy. I have 1999 points in the end if I trade him the silver coin. I don't think thats the best ending. What is the object that I should trade with him? I tried crown, diamond, hook-stick thing, thorn...
I just want the best ending, don't want to have to do it all again :)
Edit: Duh! Ok, I just figured it out. :D so simple.
I can not figure how to get the cigarettes from the girl in the chair without the floor squeaking. Can someone help me? I already did the spider thing.
Hmm...its been a while but I think that you would need to sneak or distract her somehow.

Thanks fishysmell. I finished the game with 9 treasures; I had to give one to umbrella guy because he wouldn't take anything else. Crave came out of the Folly cave at the end. Is this the best ending?

You will have 1999 points. but there is a place where you haven't been, where you probably couldn't go earlier. go there and you may get another treasure

I think you go left from the castle and you meet a prince and he gives you a silver coin.
If you get 2000 points, you get the best ending in the mini-game. Doing that gives you an item which you can use to get yourself the best ending. The best ending is the one which helps you understand what "The Crave" is.

Can someone please make a walkthrough? I am playing this game at home, and I don't have internet there, only at my job. So, it's quite difficult for me to play at home using the tips you guys give here, because I always have questions and have to wait until the other day and check it out here (AGAIN!)
Ok, big question of the moment: I saw a woman in the river and she wants to know the times, what should I do? I only got into my room and no other place (I don't have any more keys) and I still can't use the x-ray vision. When the caracter slept on his bed, a message said I should practice my x-ray vision, but I don't remember where I am supposed to practice on.
Can anyone help me?

I'm working on this one but.... it's quite lengthy and not one I can do in one day/evening. So bear with me while I'm trying to get to the end of the journey.
Its been too long so I can't remember the answers to the other questions, but you can practice your x-ray vision anywhere, on clothes, paper etc. just click your mouse and move it right to left rapidly until something starts to appear. you can test it on that piece of paper you found. As for the times thing,

I don't think you're supposed to tell her the time. But you will find that time is important to her and you can use that to your advantage if and when you need to do something involving her. You'll find something that will help.
As for the gold coin, I don't remember, but try looking at or interacting with things.
Almost all questions possible have already been answered but you'll have to sift through the thread. Except the gold coin one...I already checked for you :D
Ok, I can use my x-ray vision now, I was clicking the mouse and moving it, but actually I don't need to click on it at all. I told the lady in the river any time and she asked me to do her a favor and I did, I find every sister in the hotel and interacted with them, except the one sleeping in the bedroom, but I find a key in a dress and can't pick it up, he says that he needs something to cut it from the dress. Does anyone know how to do that?

I searched through the thread about 5 times and only found vague references for the gold coin. I clicked every pixel on every screen before the cave and found nothing :(

as I recall, the gold coin is in the pile of stones. Once you've thrown a stone in the hole and used two (?) on the lake, you should be able to find it.

I can't for the life of me get the 203 key. I clicked all the hotspots shown in the picture and still nothing. Please help. PM me the answer if possible.
Here (http://www.alpha72.com/CRS/WallHelp.jpg) are all the hotspots. You need to click all 9 (!) of them. It doesn't matter in what order, and you'll find the key only in hole nine (it's always in the last one you're looking).
The locations are:

the broken pot, the center of the grass stems, the left side of the bright green leaves, the right side of the bright green leaves, the center of the rocks, the dark spot in front of the rocks, the stone in the wall with slight different color just above the broken pot, the hole in the tree, the middle of the leaves on the tree.
I have done what you said. I used both look and use but still no avail. Some of the objects like the hole next to the pile of rocks, the gray stone in the pile and the loose brick give no reaction to when I touch them or look at them.
Then I'm wondering if you can interact with them at all.. yet.
Did you talk to Dee in the river? Did you have a look at the letter and know what's inside? Only then you can use the holes.
I know whats wrong now. i had the old buggy version of Crave. I'd just downloaded the newest version and I'll get back to you on it.
