Can someone tell me how to get the wirecutters to Defender? And how to I get the crate off the hook?

Get defender in front of the small window, then go back to simon and you'll see defender in the window. Give him the wire cutter.

To get the crate off the hook, I think you have to do the following:

Spoiler

Press the green button to raise the crate
Slide the trolley underneath the crate.
Press the green button to lower the crate on to the trolley.
Interact with the hook - the crate will come off.
Move the trolley away.

...but I don't remember what I did, so this might not be quite right.
