I am in the market but can't buy anything because I don't have a recipe.  I expect I need to get that from Jon's mother but I can't get there because of the mutant dog.

Can anyone help with this???

tvcooper,    I am also stuck in getting out of the market with the items since having no money to pay.  How do you get out?

Thanks for the tip on the dog, it is now gone.  But....I am still stuck as you are.  Can't get to Jon's mom.  I can get in the market and get all the ingredients but can't get out with the stuff because of no money.

I did go back home and notice that Jon is taking a bath and his clothes are on the floor.  I was thinking that maybe his wallet/money were in the pockets.  I tried to pick them up but it says that Jon would kill me if he had no clothes to wear.  I thought about trying to switch the clothes with some others from Jon's bedroom but that doesn't work.

Will keep trying and if successful will let you know.  Please do the same.

could uou tell me how i get rid of the mutant in the kitchen? i used the log  and got the cheese.

go to the living room.  talk to the mouse hole.  give cheese to mouse.  mouse will give you key to fridge.  get everything in the fridge.  one item will be a bowl that you will have to look at, use the scissors on and the open....it is soup.  pour soup on mutant.
