get hold of what the thief left in the nest in the forest (note: not the nest in the garden)?

I've tried getting the rope back that I used to get the apple, but I can't do that. I don't seem to have anything else in my inventory that will help.

the shady guy in the tavern has some info. make him drunk, and he will reveal a few secrets as to how to get to that nest.

spoken to the guy in the tavern and bought him lots of drinks, which is how I knew what to do in order for something to end up in the nest, but... where is this lever? He won't tell me anything more except what the guild does, and I can't buy any more ale.

the gem in the underwater world is located at the bottom of the sea. in a hidden cave. look for some loose stones covering a path.

i think i found a bug when i go to the ground in the village being attacked by the goblins i float in the air when i go to the screen with the tree and i had the squrril following me and after i left the screen he stopped following me so now i have to start over

thanks for letting me know. okay, i just checked the scripting, and i made a stupid error.  so, really sorry. you will have to load a previously saved game.  :'( i just fixed the bug, so thanks for finding it.

Go outside through the top exit and remove the obstruction from the periscope.

Oh no, I'm almost done with the game and then I found out I forgot to get the red gem. There is no other way of finishing the game without re-loading, eh?

If that's the case, I'm not really sure if I want to continue playing the game. It was really fun but very frustrating too since I dislike pixel-hunts so much.

i don't think you need the red gem to finish the game. the gems are only for bonus points.
