VonLudwig - help needed

I am stuck in VonLudwig and can't find a walkthrough. All the links leading to one are corrupt or something is amiss.
Please, send me a walkthrough, post it here or just give me a clue.

I need a gremlin claw. Gremlins are lurking in the hole under the ex-stump. How to get one?

I am a guard now. And what advantages do I have?

What about goblins?

What is this strange item for?

Notice there is also grease down in the pit.  Grease is flammable.  Do you have anything that might be able to create flame (maybe by focusing sunlight)?

What about them?  Are you asking where they are or what to do about them?  If the former, have you tried going through the broken wall to the west (and then north from there)?  If the latter, what do you think the sleeping dust is for?

Well, I do have a monocle (to focus sunlight with). And I even tried to use it on the hole, but as it wasn't a close-up, nothing happened. I used it correctly and got nothing (as usual). How to get gremlins out?

There are two bushes and a tree with some kind of "edible" objects hanging on them. Is it ever gonna be useful?

Interact with the hole to get the close-up, then use the monocle on the grease.

If you've already done this, you just haven't looked closely enough in the aftermath--there should be a light greenish object on the screen that wasn't there before.  That's the gremlin claw.
