I'm always seeing people hide text in the hint and tips topics...how is that done?

You useÃ,Â [*hide] (without the *) write your text and then finish with [*/hide] again without the *

if you see something, like the spoiler tag, in someone's post, click the "Reply with quote" link and see the quoted post for the bbcode ;)
