The trap door next to the ladder. I am on day 4. I found the ring in the little girls bedroom and gave it back to her. I've walked around and talked to everyone and am stumped as what to do next?

Leave the mansion and visit the beach. Then visit the lighthouse.
Basically this is a game about visiting things over and over again. One wonders who thought that would be a good idea.
