Y'know, you can put it all in one single post from the start.

I suppose he forgot. Happens to me all the time, the difference is he as a guest, couldn't edit.

I had figured out everything but the

blanket

which seemed a bit odd, it's in a square pattern which woul make it hard to read, but in any case, great puzzle!
I loved the

old woman. It's especcially funny because it shows Pib has been an apprentice for quite some time... hehe. The second version is also hilarious. :D And one of the best animations I've ever seen is shown when Pib jumps on the desk, it's wonderful!! Too bad the little 'alien being' stuatue broke. And it's so valuable too.. ;) :D.

I must once again praise you for your animations. I think it would be interesting if you demonstrated (that is, Ian) in the art advice thread the frames and maybe explained how you drew it, though not neccessarilly. If you want to of course.

Btw, have you read an article called Application og Puzzle Theory? It's one of my favorite articles (damn, can't remember who wrote it, it's someone from the froums), and it points out animations are important in games. A lot. Just wondering. ;)

Yes that's the one.
After I posted and turned off the computer, I checked the print out of it and it said Scarpia. A great article IMO.
Does anyone happen to know if the example of puzzle implementation he shows at the end actually exists as a game? I'd be very interested to play it.
:)

You can actully get hints that the blanket has black on the other side. (so it's easy to read off of)

it's hard to notice, I had a problem with this too, tryin to take the poster. The little piece of tape you need is in the bottom-right corner of the poster (our view).

Sorry, everybody! My 3-year-old nephew posted my previous message. He has just come to my house, and  knowing his favourite games (Humongous Entertainment) are all stored on my PC, he has rushed forward.
Anyway, in two words - and particularly to GinnyW - DO NOT GET TOO INVOLVED!
This is just a game.
There have been thousands like this one, there will be more to come.
Stop replaying it, you are wasting your lifetime.

Sounds more like 5 words to me.. ;)

Yvonne:
I respect your opinion, but why should I stop replaying it if everytime I do I find something new and interesting?
I don't replay any game, but the good ones have to be played at least twice to be completely appreciated IMO. And I've played Grim Fandango more than 10 times, and each time I found out more, even a new location once.

I'm interested why you adressed me esspeccially though.. Can you tell by my posts that I've played it several times? ;)
Or do you read minds? :o

"There have been thousands like this one, there will be more to come."
I disagree, every game is unique and there definetly havn't been thousands if AGS games as good as this one.

Not to mention the fact that games inspire me in making my own game, such as the animations in Apprentice for example, which made me appreciate how much animations add to a game.

I rest my case :).

P.s. Your 3 year old nephew sure is smart! ;D

About my nephew - sure you are right, GinnyW.
Much smarter than me, and than you, my friend, because unfortunately we both are in the same pot of stew...

Yvonne: was that last post your nephew again?
(he seems to always end his posts abruptly, either breaking off or ending with "...")

You get the blanket from the room with the tree by the cliff. You must first talk to the snake, and then you can take the blanket. Enjoy the secret bonus animation, you little cheater. :)

what do you mean "little cheater"? I just had a question. Do you know how to make the cheese?

Um, did you read the secret message on the scroll? Besides, it's an easter egg -- we didn't want it to confuse you and get in the way of the game.

"Little cheater" was just a joke. Please do not take it personally. :) Necro (who was the first one to solve the bonus puzzle) beat it without any hints or help.
