No, we're talking a different spaceship. But if you can't use the battery in the crashed ship, make sure that you're using it in the correct place (under floor plate).

i have attached watch to vine and attached vine to lattice, iv'e put metal plate and pickaxe on pipe and turned on water, put lamp on drain, the statue's eyes are glowing, put battery in spaceship it powers up but then seems to stop and tried it in the robot, iv'e put gunpowder in barrel how do i finish the gun?

The purpose of the light on the drain is to see where it leads. Once you have found this out, you can drop the things through that drain.

Go to the flooded room in the underground area (left and in the door from the screen with the guard) and look at the shaft.

Edit: Meat got there before me, but I think you also must look at the shaft to be able to drop things down the drain.

If you did indeed put the lamp on the drain, there should be light shining through the shaft showing that the drain leads to this shaft

Jungle part - unsolved: I can't open the door on the right, even when I have the blue eyes glowing. Down the hole, the door on the far left is still closed, on the right, I cannot get into the room with the army chest, and I can't find the cartridge for the robot program. Inside the crashed spaceship, I can put the battery inside, but not open the door. I now have a metal key with one part, and a complete firearm... any hints?

Did you use the vine to swing across to the dead body yet? If I remember right, you'll find a part of the key there. Don't worry about the gun yet.

Try to use something on the stonehead, then use something on the vine.

solution:

Move the statue's head with the pickaxe, attach your watch or a screw to the vine, throw the vine down the lattice, open the rusty bars with the small key and use the pulse reader on the vine.

Yes swung across and retrieved the bit that the parts go in also a lighter and got part 1 of the key out of the guarded room but can't find the second part.
