I wonder if the Dawrf ever steals stuff from you in that version -- just so that I avoid being stressed everytime I see him appear, and worry about not being able to finish the game because I'm missing an object.

So your answer would be: "YES, in the AGD version of that game, the Dwarf can actually steal stuff from you"? Is that picked randomly? Does it prevent you from finishing the game?

In KQ2+, the dwarf can steal stuff from you, but you can get it back later and he never steals something you need to proceed.

So far I haven't discovered how to get them back, but, knowing AGDi methods, I was suspecting it was possible.
Damnit! I've spent all evening trying to understand

why the flying carpet disappears after you fly back to the mountains. I was 100% sure there would be a flying horse (being accustomed to Point n Clicks plot twists), and I was almost sure I had to turn the snake back by disenchanting it with the emerald.
I've tried, and tried... With no luck. I thought it was a bug

(I thought some bugged script failed to detect my progression and failing to spawn the horse)
AND NOW I READ IN THE WALKTHROUGH THAT YOU HAVE TO USE THE EMERALD ON THE SNAKE. So I guess you can do it only from one side of the snake. Aaaargh.
That kind of trick makes me go berserk.
