Levers are the answer my friend. Push them ('up' on your keyboard) to turn a light bulb on and subsequently to hurt the big gray metal box baddie.
there are three of them: starting from the top the first two are needed to 'charge' the bulb, the bottom one to electrocute.

If press esc during the fight, the big baddie will continue to move, while the fellows at the ground floor will freeze.
That should be quite handy in this scene.
