Title: Koffee Krisis
Post by: on Wed 30/08/2006 15:15:02
I'm stuck.

How can I use the pointy hack?
I read the manual, which is hard to understand. But everytime i look at the pointy hack he says I should read the manual first. But I alread did......
BUG? Or am I missing something?!

I'm stuck here, too. Is anybody reading? The mine shaft seems pointless, but I guess it has to do with the tool being seemingly unusable.

Maybe it's fixed in version 1.0.1, which was never uploaded "tomorrow" as the game description in the adventuregamestudio.co.uk game entry advertises.

I've gotten past this part, but I did download the updated version of the game.  Once you look at the manual, a new screen pops up and you have to figure out the correct order to push five buttons to activate the hack/pickaxe.

I'm stuck at a point a little after that.

Spoiler
I'm in the library and have gotten four books from the shelves and put them on the projector.  I can start up the computer the cultist gave me but I can't figure out the proper way to cast a spell.  Help anyone?

I'm stuck with the same problem, too. I just can't figure out the spell....

And I think you're right with the "manual and pickaxe"-problem.
After I had installed the updated Version of the game I could proceed, too.....

This is Akatosh, the game author, reporting in. Too lazy to fiddle around for the password now.

-> The manual thing *was* a bug and fixed now, due to the manual script removed inventory item 14, not 15, as it was supposed to be. The pointy hack/ pickaxe now works.

-> To cast a spell, you click on the rune buttons, and one of the white spaces is filled with the appropiate rune. If you did something wrong, you always can reset. Click on the cast button to, er, cast.

-> All the information you need to figure out the spell can be gathered via the the four books and the 'overhead projector'. Look at it, have a talk with the cultist...

->It's very hard, though. One of the books is a 100% hoax - you should be able to spot that, though - and one to 50%. The other 50% are needed anyway.
-> The torn-up projection is important.

I now that one is *very* hard, but with some staring, making notes and

SPOILER! Looking and the *colors*

and paying attention to the

SPOILER! Little bit which is visible on the torn-up-part of the torn-up-projection

you should be able to figure it out.

Thanks for posting.  Let me go over my thought process for this puzzle and maybe you can direct me to where I'm going wrong.

Spoiler
Okay, so there are 3 runes and each rune has a color associated with it.  The red book shows me that the top rune is red in color and the middle rune is green in color.  The green book shows me that the bottom rune is blue in color, and the other figure means nothing.  The blue book is the hoax I presume?  The white book shows the order the runes are supposed to go in.  It gives the first 3 columns for each row, but the 4th and 5th column are missing, but it gives the color of the final column.  I've tried several things, but the one I feel is most right is projecting the color pattern to figure out the two missing columns for each row.  I have the rows as:

red green blue red green blue
blue red green blue red green
red blue green red blue green

This is not working though so I must be missing something.

That symbol in between the given colums does not indicate there are two missing. The last given column - the halfways torn up one - is the 4th. Not the last.

All other thoughts of you are right... don't give up! You're on the right way, man!  ;D

Thank you!  That was just the hint I needed to finish the game.  8)
