Larry Vales One - Dissapearing Inventory?

In Larry Vales one I'm at the part where you need to:

Drill through the dice next to Charlie and put a door piece in the dice

[close]

Just I have one problem... The door piece has completely vanished from my inventory. What can I do?

Also, Larry sometimes refuses to move...
