Okay, I have delivered two letters.
I can get a lightning rod started at Castle Rock but cannot seem to complete it. At the moment all I have is a big copper rod stuck in the hole.
I've put two "spheres" into the sculpture in the garden.
I was able to get to the silo and start the windmill there, but the one at the lighthouse will not start. At the lighthouse the combo is already entered correctly and the brake is off, but no action out of the windmill.
*I ASSUME* that I'm supposed to find actual circuit board components to plug into the various locks that I've found and not wing it with plastic bottles and tin foil (neither of which I've actually found.)
So far I haven't been able to unlock a single door. Haven't found a use for the shovel either.
Possessions: knife, keys, message, letter, baseball, duct tape, jumper cables, shovel, and notebook.
Hmmm... I think you'd say I'm stuck. Any general hints?

In the silo, started generator and turned on batteries. Setup lightning rod on Castle Rock.
Got the device fron under the manhole cover, set it up at the church.
I cannot get upstairs in the silo. Am I supposed to know what the password is?
I cannot get into the lighthouse. I have the capacitor. The handle on the windmill shows unlocked. The combo on the windmill looks good. But the windmill isn't turning and thus no power for the door.

I walked a lot of miles and dit some time-traveling but now I have a problem with understanding the turbine at the lighthouse, ...

because the handle for the brakes is "off" but it's not rotating!? So there is no power at the doorlock and I can't put the capacitor in. The lock has set automaticaly in right order when I put it in at the other turbine (or will I get an other code with a note later?) - but anyway the brakes aren't on. So I'm stuck here and can't solve a problem I don't understand. :'(
The turbine at the silo is rotating with no problem and the control panel inside says, that only the batteries must go online for to get the keypad working. Maybe because until now I couldn't manage to crack the code for the door in the cellar?
I think I missed something important on my way and mayby there is someone to give me a hint in the right direction? That whould be very kind. Meanwhile I will go on searching ...

Each turbine has a separate code. To solve the door code, check out the notebook once again, then consult the AGS Programming Book in the office.

I have no idea where to find the setting for the brake. Tried to lubricate the turbine, impossible. I set up the rods at the church, castle rock and set up everything in the silo (all lights green)

This is a fantastic game. I am so close to the end that I hate to ask for a hint, but it's driving me out of my mind. I also found a minor glitch.

I have placed all three attractors, activated everything in the silo(all lights lit, used code from mansion basement), set the switch in the lighthouse to connect the red and green wires, and I'm stumped. The glitch involves the attractor in the lighthouse vanishing if you look at the painting before using the hand icon on it after switching the switch. I have not been inside the church, and still have duct tape, car keys and the knife along with all sorts of notes.

If you've been inside the lighthouse, you must have traveled to 1985, right? (Otherwise you wouldn't have gotten the notebook entry that gave you the code for the lighthouse turbine.) Did you accomplish anything there?

isn't working. There is no reaction, after typing it and hitting „Enter“ - no sound of error or confirmation, no text, no light-effect - nothings happening (only my dissapointed face is getting longer).

but when I try to load your savegame (I can see it and also the picture of it), an error shows up and the game crashes.
Because of your items in inventory I think you should

use the manhole lifter - (near the bakery) and yes - you are right, you have to search for something to move the boat to the dock (something with wheels whould do fine)
... if this won't get you (a bit) further, we both have to wait for someone, who knows more about it.

just and only my personal oppinion, but you talked to me in this post, so therefore you get my reply:
I don't want to offend you, but neither I'm good in english, nor I'm a wt-gambler (you often see more, than you need).
I like exploring adventures much more (not to put form letters in all topics of
new games).
Have you even startet to play this wonderfull game? May be, you should simply try it - it's fun to enjoy all those little sideways, the creator had a lot of work to build it for us (you won't find that in a wt).
And when you're getting stuck, just ask here. Noone will mock you for a question. That's, was this place is mainly for - to have fun together with people all around the world and the possibility to have contakt to the creator.

It seems I'm stuck slightly earlier than everybody else who posted, so the posts so far don't help me much. Any help would be appreciated, but please don't be too subtle, since I'm getting tired of walking around aimlessly:

I've seen references to some keys, perhaps found near a sculpture of a sphere. I couldn't find either; the closest thing was the sculpture at the park, which the character says feels like eggshell, but I couldn't find any keys there. I've traveled to '74 and '82, I've been to the island, and I can't find anything else to do. I still haven't made it to the cellar, which I presume is my next step.

can someone tell me in detail how to use the key on the man hole i can't get it and i read the post about the exact place the numbers are at and still can't get it HELP please ty also the other wind mill the code please can't figure that out either thanks again and also the keypad in silo can't get that either

please don't confuse - the AGS-Programming-book is needed for the binary-code to the door in the cellar of the silo, not for the windmill of the lighthouse
the code for this you will get later in the game (I think it was after you did everything possible in the silo and have done a timetravel to another year)

I'm sorry, but I don't have the save-games anymore, so it's impossible for me to remember this binary-codes.
Only the approximate way to go is left in my mind:

There are four (lets say) letters shown in the notebook (where most of the codes are written). These you have to search in the table of the AGS-programming-book. This book also has an explanation, how to find the right line. So you get four number sequences. If you write them down, there are not so much possibilities left for the two lines, you need at the door.
Apology, but that's all, I am able to tell about it.
But Old Guy is a „nice Old Guy“, so if there is nobody else around here, who can help about this, you may send him a little PM with a warm hello and ask him for the codes.

just saw, that there is still no response for your prob and downloaded the game again.
So this is the way to get the binary-code

first the hints from the notebook: C9 and 7D, which you have to „translate“ with the help of the AGS-Programming-book

Hello. I believe I am near the end of the game, but I am stuck.

I have placed the attractors at the church and Castle Rock but I cannot for the life of me seem to find where the third attractor should be placed. I have looked everywhere and have tried to use it with everything but I have been unsuccessful so far. Where should I place the third attractor?

I have read the hints and still can't figure out what to do now.
I have no keys, reached Andove Island, placed the rod on Castle Rock and dropped two spheres in the sculpture. Oh yes, one time transport to '68.
I think I have searched all the locations accessible to me at this point and found nothing to interact with - except locked doors and codes.
Where do I go from here?

I am stuck in the silo trying to do the code on the control panel. I have all green lights, but if there was a hint on what code to use on this panel it went right by me. Where do I look for it?

Alright, everything I have read so far in the hints has been ahead of me in some way.

time traveled to two time periods. I have not been in the cellar of the mansion because I do not have the key. I do not have Tesla's file. I have not put anything in any sculpture, although I'm assuming people are refering to the garden sculptures. I've traveled to the silo, but I have not gotten in.
Obviously, I have missed something most people have not. Help!

I don´t know how to charge the attractors. And I still dont get into lighthouse or the silo (dont know which item use next to the door).
(I received 2 letters, been in 1968 and 1974; my inventory: knife, car keys, message from mailbox, letter from harrison, booster cables, shovel, duct tape, file folder abou Tesla, thick wire, receiver, USB cable, box cutter, 2 attractors, screwdriver, two wires, WD 40 penatrating oil, notebook)

I ve already been on that Island and just switch on the turbine, but I don t know how I can get into the silo.

Search for this sign in the notebook for to get an idea, what is missing there.

All this I know, but I cant figure it out, what it is. I think, it is something with the battery in the cellar but I dont know what - I put the baterry on the place in diagram but dont know what to do next....and I cant get anything from the bin with LEDs etc.

After you placed the attractor in there press the arrow (down) and then you can press the button to start charging.

I think he's referring to the basement under Harrison's house. On the left there's a diagram on the table. You need to put a battery there...

Leave the diagram for now, concentrate on the doors first.
Look at the doors of the lighthouse and the silo and note the symbols.
You need to read the notebook! On one of the pages there's an explanation for the symbols:

The lighthouse needs a capacitor, the silo needs a resistor.
You can find these in the right bins on the worktop. But once they're out, you need to find the right one. There's information about this in the notebook as well.

For the resistor, look in book and find that you need 1,000 Ohm.
On the back wall you can find a chart that translates this number to colours and so you can find the right resistor:

1 = brown, 0 = black, 00 = red (two zero's)

Use that one on the door once the wind turbine is working and you can enter.
For the capacitor you should be able to read the labels on them to pick the right one, again with information from the notebook:

It's 470 micro Farad: the black/blue capacitor.

Well, it seems Im close to the end but...I cant place the charged attractor in the dirt next to the church. It says: I dont think, I have everything I need yet. (maybee it is because I try it erlier and use the screwdriver, but it doesnt work and I have the the screwdriver anymore?but where can I get it again? maybe int he church but how can I get inside?)
My inventory contains (without the letters and notes): knife, car keys, tape, box cutter, thick wire, charged attractor
I have everything done in the Silo, I've been in the lighthouse (there I place an attractor behind the picture and switch the wires). On the patio I pulled the brick and on the board every lights are green except the third ("attractor 2 detected"-that one next to the church).
I dont know what missing :-(

Yes, you need the screwdriver and no, you can't get into the church. I didn't „lose“ the srewdriver in my version, so I'm sorry, that I can't give you a hint for this problem. :-\
Hopefully you have a savegame nearby to do it again without losing the screwdriver? Or wait some time for maybe Leon has a good idea again.

I think it's either:
a: the same as with the bins
b: not the attractor you're looking for
You 'lose' the screwdriver after fixing the attractor next to the church so my guess it's done right. I have a feeling you just missed a switch somewhere.
Can you send me your most recent savegame so I can see what has happened?
[update] I reproduced your problem and I'm afraid you need to restore/restart. It is indeed a bug.
Here's how:
-Place the attractor on the dirt (lose attractor from inventory)
-Use the screwdriver to undo the cable (lose screwdriver from inventory)
-Leave the scene (add attractor back to inventory...... BUT NOT THE SCREWDRIVER!)
Next time you visit the scene, the cable is automatically attached to the grounding rod which you can't take off anymore.
