I'm stuck at the very beginning

I had the pleasure to see Lucky L. dying in many different ways, but I'm not able to fix that damn Power Port...
It seems I have to kill the mini meeba (or least make it go away), but I don't know how :(

edit: solved. Maybe you should tell people that Spoiler
you have to use cable+laser on itself to take them apart. Or even not allowing it until is necessary, I found it quite puzzling.

Put the spanner on the cable, sling the spanner around the antenna and the other end of the cable on the meeba.

Got rid of the little meeba. The blasted thing still doesn't work! (Even though it initially looked like it would...) Can't seem to get any hints for what to do to resolve it. The scanner thingumajig says that the port is working so no hints there...
The port is working but the gun isn't.

Use the spanner again to take it back, then separate the spanner from the cable (right click). Use the cable on the gun and connect it to the port.
ok i tried like you said, still doesnt work ??? still no power when i try to connect..but when i scan..says i have power?

I think you have to use the spanner on the hole, then take the lazer/cable and hook it up to it.

You also have to use the port separately to switch it on, and use Lucky on the port to function as a 'live' fuse.
I know, the message about having power is rather confusing.

Are you saying that you need to use Lucky on the port in order for it to work? I've already killed him, in two different ways now that i think back at my attempts. Is he needed for the solution of the game?
I have done the following:Opened the port, thrown the spanner on the antenna (Bounced back on Lucky, killing him. He he heeee!), used the port, still not working but little meeba is flashing, combined spanner and wire and used with antenna and meeba to kill the meeba, used the port which first seems to work, but then starts shooting sparks and not work. The scanner says it is working and none of my inventory works on the port. I have tried combinations of spanner, wire and laser gun, as well as everything individually...
What am I not getting?
Lucky is not needed to complete the game. You might get extra points for keeping him alive though.

If Lucky was stuff alive you could have used him to connect the panel with the power. Now you can just use a cable

Well, I finally did it! But now there's this second stage of the game and I'm completely stuck!

1. I've manage to grab the "liquid containing device" (a.k.a. mug) and filled with green corrosive goop.

2. Used the meat pie and then scanner on the crawlspace by the computer. Character is then convinced it's not a rat and agrees to leap into the darkness! Lol!
And that's about all I can do right now.
Nevemind. Finished it!
I can't connect the Spitrinian laser-with-cable to the port: no power...
Arj0n: You're going to have to finish fixing the port first. Maybe the Scanatron will give you a clue? ;)

No matter what I try, half the clicks don't produce messages, and whether Lucky is being electrocuted doesn't change a thing.

Plus, I've restarted from the beginning and hooked the spanner to the cable, now I can't even open the access port!! (Because there's still no way I can separate the spanner from the cable.)
Sorry, this is just not what I expected from a friggin adventure game.
Dead ends all over the place. I mean, come on.
You should be able to separate the spanner from the cable by using right-click. I had problems with it at first as well.

You need to use it on itself. As in, select it, then while having it as the active cursor, right-click on it.
I can't get past the ratwhacking game! Maybe it's me but i just don't seem to be fast enough and i want to finish the game! Is there any shortcut available please?
No, there's no shortcut but you can set the difficulty to PANSY to make it easier for you :). It's all in the STARFARCE COMMAND PRIMER.
Khrismuc- you sure complain a lot for someone who hasn't even read the readme (which would've told you everything you needed beforehand about the controls) :=. There are no dead ends in this game, and it's not my fault if people don't want to read a small readme even when the installer highly recommends it :(.

You can just enter the crawlspace as soon as you've realised it's safe there.

You must say that it would have been more inviting to read it if it was a regular readme with clear instructions. Although I do like the story around it :)

I'm supposed to either actually clean up the green goop, or destroy Panda's screen in order to sneak off... But I can't seem to do anything with the spanner, scanner, meatpie and cup full of goop that I have. The black outline in the hidden room "bit me" and Limey won't go near it after that. I can prod it with the spanner, but it does nothing. The scanner shows an error if I scan it. I'm sure it's vital to get on in the game but I can't figure out how. I'm just stumped... I have a feeling the pipe leking steam is also to be used at some point, but I have no idea how or why.
Hints appreciated! I like the game's looks and style a lot, but the puzzles do not seem to come naturally to me at all...

There is a nice box with all sorts of helpfull stuff but the goo is in the way. So try reaching in from the other side ;)

No, that's actually a plot device for a later adventure that I put in to add something to look back on and say 'oh!'. :) There are a couple of other things that will tie in to other adventures, like the ominous green goo ;>
