Hi Ida

I just downloaded this last night and I am stuck there too.
Spoiler
I read the note with the hint about Arabian Nights and that he liked Ali Baba and that A = 1. We need nine numbers for the safe so I tried the numbers for Arabian, using the A = 1 hint and I was able to get 9 numbers, but they didn't work, then I tried the numbers for the word Nights and that didn't work either. The numbers for Ali Baba don't total 9 so of course that didn't work either. Its probably really simple we just can't get it LOL. I have looked at the color circle too but can't figure out if there is something to do there or not.  I have 2 cables, file, book, piece of paper, note from son and a short piece of rope. If you get any further let me know.

Connect brown and lavender. I don't know if you must get a close-up view to complete the game. You have to connect *all* tags. If there are not enough wires then you forgot to fetch two cables.

Here we go:
Spoiler
You got to replace the single letters of the word "sesame" by the numbers which match their position in the alphabet. You already know A=1. So B=2 and Z would be 26. This way the word "sesame" gives you a nine digits number.

Now my problem:

Post by: on Sun 22/01/2006 20:08:17
Ok,i forgot about the other rope. :P Got it ,solved it. Fantastic game btw. And the music didn't get boring or irritating, it was what kept me playing on actually. :) The ending was interesting. Very good work, even though the graphics may not be top-notch the spirit of the game is highly universal and the misery of the main character truly catches one's attention and brings some long forgotten problems out on the light , for the masses to see and pity the miserable old man and his woes. Two thumbs up, way up. :)

Title: Re: Lonely Night
Post by: Sinitrena on Mon 23/01/2006 00:56:55
Solution of the shelf puzzle:
Spoiler
I assume you got the right shellf (number 5, it's the one right to the desk). The first box asks for the shelf from the top. The hint on the piece of paper is B 2 which means the second from the buttom, which is the fourth from the top. The next hint is R 7, which means the seventh book from the right. So type in the frist text box 4 (or four, or fourth) and in the second 7 (our seven or seventh)

If you really did it this way it should work. The main character will refuse to juse the elevator if he isn't armed, though.
