It has been awhile since this game with a 'hot' topic. My best suggestion is to do a 'search' in this forum. I'm sure you will find all the answers you need. This is how I managed to complete the game.

OK, does Lucy already know that her diary is gone? If not, go to her room and look in her room for the diary. Lucy never reads the AGS-forums, so she does not know the story of her game ;)
If she does already know it, you should talk about everything with the brother and he will request something exciting. And well, something you are carrying is really exciting for young boys... ;D

in the locked cupboard in the dining room i think, not sure as i played it a while ago. its the cupboard where dad hides his secret stash. you can find the key under the carpet
